The pressure sensors, the flow sensor and the power meter are in communication with the management device. The management device operates to determine pump efficiencies, wherein the programmable logic controller automatically determines pump efficiency data in response to receiving real time data from the pressure sensors, the flow sensor and the power meter and automatically delivers the pump efficiency data to the display for displaying the determined pump efficiency data.

A detection of the improper opening of the suction valve is made by a detection of at least one peak of the variable proportional to torque of the electrical engine during power of the electromagnetic field generator element.

The controller is configured to determine an estimated value of the at least one operating characteristic of the fluid based on the measured value of the at least one operating characteristic of the multiphase pump and the pump map. At least one regulating device coupled to at least one flow control device is modulated based on the estimated value of the at least one operating characteristic of the fluid.

Systems and methods for providing override control for a feedwater pump recirculation valve are provided. According to one embodiment, a system may include a controller and a processor communicatively coupled to the controller. The processor may be configured to receive one or more measurements associated with pump motor power driving feedwater pump flow. The feedwater pump recirculation valve may be configured to maintain a predetermined minimum recirculation flow through the feedwater pump by regulating recirculation pump flow through a recirculation line. The processor may be also configured to calculate, based at least in part on the one or more measurements, the recirculation pump flow, and compare the recirculation pump flow to the predetermined minimum recirculation flow. Based at least in part on the comparing, the processor may selectively provide an override control signal to the feedwater pump recirculation valve to selectively modify the recirculation pump flow.

The controller controls the actuator to reduce the fluid flow rate to a second fluid flow rate, when the fluid pressure at the outlet side rises to an upper one of a corresponding fluid pressure set point.
