VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT OIL PUMP
A variable displacement oil pump is described. The oil pump has pump body connected to an intake channel and to a delivery channel, a rotor capable of rotating inside the pump body about a rotation axis and provided with a plurality of vanes. The oil pump has an oscillating stator arranged in an eccentric position around the rotor and pivoted inside the pump body at a rotation pin. The oil pump has adjustment means for adjusting the displacement of the oil pump which acts on the oscillating stator to displace it with respect to the rotor and position it in at least one predetermined operative position. The adjustment means has first thrusting means configured to exert a first thrusting action on a first outer surface portion of the oscillating stator arranged on a substantially opposite side with respect to the rotation pin taking as a reference the rotor.

Variable capacity vane pump 1 supplying working fluid to power steering device of vehicle has pump housing 2 formed from bottomed cylindrical-shaped front housing 5 and rear housing 6 closing the front housing, pump element 3 accommodated in pump housing, communicating with inlet passage 23 and with outlet passage 30 and sucking and discharging working fluid, and flow amount control valve 33 controlling an amount of working fluid discharged by pump element. Pressure-sensitive valve 50, which changes a flow passage cross-sectional area of the outlet passage so that the discharge amount of the pump element is increased with increase in load pressure of power steering device, is set at some midpoint of the outlet passage and at bottom wall portion 5b of front housing. It is therefore possible to suppress increase in size of device while reducing energy loss when variable capacity vane pump is mounted in power steering device.

A variable displacement vane pump that includes a biasing assembly that applies a first biasing force to a pump control ring when the pump control ring is located a first position and a second position and applies a second biasing force when the pump control ring is located between the second position and a third position. The first position of the pump control ring corresponds to a maximum volumetric capacity of the pump, the second position corresponds to an intermediary volumetric capacity of the pump, and the third position corresponds to a minimum volumetric capacity of the pump. Fluid pressure within a control chamber urges the pump control ring toward the third position.

Variable displacement oil pump slide with bow spring
An automobile vehicle variable displacement pump includes a pump body having a pump shaft extending through the pump body. A rotor is connected to the pump shaft and co-rotates with the pump shaft. The rotor has multiple radially outwardly directed slots. A vane support ring supports multiple vanes, the vanes individually slidably received in one of the slots of the rotor. A slide is rotatably connected to the pump body having the rotor and the vane support ring positioned within an inner wall of the slide. A bow spring plate defining a biasing member directly contacts the slide to bias the slide to rotate about an arc of curvature.

The control ring can be actuated to set an eccentricity of the control ring to define a volumetric pump performance. The control ring defines a pump chamber which is separated by the pump vanes into pumping compartments. The control ring includes a control ring main body, bushing rings which are arranged separately at a radial inside of the control ring main body, and a radial inlet opening and/or a radial outlet opening. The radial inlet opening and/or the radial outlet opening is/are arranged axially between the bushing rings.
