Water Pump For Marine Engine Having Tool For Replacing Impeller
20190271308 · 2019-09-05 ·

A water pump for a marine engine includes a cap covering an internal cavity of the pump's housing when the pump is operating. The cap functions as a tool to remove a damaged or worn impeller from inside the internal cavity. A threaded hub of the cap engages internal threads of the impeller to assist a user in removing the impeller for replacement. A cap lock ring threaded onto the pump housing retains the cap over the internal cavity. A rotatable drive shaft has splines which mate with a splined portion of the impeller to rotate the impeller. The cap lock ring is disengaged from the housing and the cap removed to enable a person to use the threaded hub of the cap to remove the impeller.

A cylinder is installed within a case, and an output shaft and an arm that is integrated thereto and extends in a radial direction are installed within the cylinder. A piston extending in an arc slides and is displaced in a circumferential direction of the cylinder within the cylinder. One end portion of the piston is rotatably connected to the arm. The cylinder is internally provided with a first pressure chamber in which the arm is housed and a second pressure chamber in which the other end portion of the arm is slidably installed. A pressure medium is fed into one of the first and second pressure chambers and discharged from the other, and the output shaft pivots in a rotational direction.

Fuel pump

A fuel pump includes: an outer gear; an inner gear that is meshed with the outer gear and includes a receiving hole; a rotatable shaft; a contact portion that is formed to be contactable with the receiving hole; and a pump housing that rotatably receives the outer gear and the inner gear and includes a first housing component and a second housing component, between which the inner gear is held in the axial direction. At least one of the receiving hole and the contact portion includes a tilt surface, which is tilted relative to the axis direction. When the rotatable shaft is rotated to a drive rotation side, the receiving hole contacts the contact portion through the tilt surface, so that the receiving hole is urged in a circumferential direction and is also urged toward the first housing component in the axial direction.

FLEXIBLE IMPELLER PUMP
20240167472 · 2024-05-23 ·

The present invention relates to improvements in the area of flexible impeller pumps. In particular, the present invention relates to flexible impellers with improved profiles (such as dual sealing lips), which are particularly well-suited to multiple cam pumps. A novel mounting hub configuration for mounting an impeller on a drive shaft is also provided. Pumps comprising such impellers and/or mounting hubs are provided, as are associated methods of installation and removal.

LUBRICATION STRATEGY FOR DRY RUN PUMP SYSTEM
20190249663 · 2019-08-15 ·

A gerotor pump assembly, and a system and method for operating a gerotor pump assembly, result in a lubrication strategy for operating in a loss-of-prime mode. An inner drive gear may be rotated in a first direction and in a second opposite direction about an axis of rotation. The inner drive gear has a number of projections extending outwardly therefrom. An outer driven gear surrounds the inner drive gear and defines a number of recessions along an inner surface configured to engage with the projections of the inner drive gear. The outer driven gear and the inner drive gear further define at least one dynamically-changing fluid cavity therebetween. The inner drive gear and the outer driven gear define an oil transfer volume clearance between a projection and a recession in a fully engaged position. Oil is maintained within the oil transfer volume clearance as the inner drive gear is rotated.

A rotary actuator includes an output shaft, a housing, a piston, and a friction reducer. The housing includes an arcuate bore that extends around the output shaft. The piston is coupled to the output shaft and moved in the arcuate bore. Pressure fluid acts to move the piston. The friction reducer is configured to reduce friction between a peripheral surface of the piston and an inner circumferential surface of the housing forming the arcuate bore.

ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMP

An eccentric screw pump, comprising a rotor that extends along a longitudinal axis of the rotor from a drive end to a free end, a stator housing with an internal cavity that extends along the longitudinal axis from a stator inlet opening to a stator outlet opening and that is designed to accommodate the rotor, a drive motor with a drive shaft that is coupled with the rotor to transmit a torque, a first cardan joint which is placed within the transmission of the torque between the drive shaft and the rotor, and a stator outlet flange that is arranged in flow direction behind the rotor. The stator outlet flange comprises a flange connection plane that is oriented non-vertically to the longitudinal axis.

Fluid pump with thrust bearing driver

A fluid pump includes an inlet plate and an electric motor. The electric motor has a shaft that rotates about an axis. A pumping arrangement is rotationally coupled to the shaft. The pumping arrangement includes an rotating element. The fluid pump further includes a thrust bearing driver including a disc-like plate having first and second faces, and two posts extending perpendicularly from the first face. The shaft has a terminal end including a pair of slots that cooperate with the posts of the thrust bearing driver. The inner gear rotor has an inner surface including a pair of slots that cooperate with the posts of the thrust bearing driver. The posts of the thrust bearing driver are received in the slots of both the shaft and the rotating element, and the thrust bearing driver is sandwiched between the shaft, the inlet plate, and the rotating element.

Electric motor-driven motor-vehicle vacuum pump, and drive shaft for a motor vehicle vacuum pump

The invention relates to an electric motor-driven motor-vehicle vacuum pump (1), having a drive shaft (3) which has, in particular, two bearings and extends with a shaft stub (5; 35; 45) into a rotor (8) which is connected fixedly to the shaft stub so as to rotate with it. In the rotor, the shaft stub has a centring region (26; 36; 46) which serves to center the rotor, without guiding the rotor in the axial direction.
