A pump includes a casing defining an interior volume. The pump casing includes at least one balancing plate that can be part of a wall of the pump casing with each balancing plate including a protruding portion having two recesses. Each recess is configured to accept one end of a fluid driver. The balancing plate aligns the fluid displacement members with respect to each other such that the fluid displacement members can pump the fluid when rotated. The balancing plates can include cooling grooves connecting the respective recesses. The cooling grooves ensure that some of the liquid being transferred in the internal volume is directed to bearings disposed in the recesses as the fluid drivers rotate.

The solenoid includes an iron core, a wire coil wrapped around the iron core, and a ferromagnetic plunger. The plunger is arranged to linearly displace in a first direction when a first directional current is applied to the wire coil, and linearly displace in a second direction when a second directional current is applied to the wire coil. The solenoid control circuit is arranged supply the first directional current when energized by a power source, and supply a decaying alternating current that includes the first directional current and the second directional current when the solenoid control circuit is de-energized.

A gerotor pump includes a pump head including a configuration of gerotors for pumping in operation a fluid medium from an input port arrangement to an output port arrangement, and a motor arrangement for providing mechanical power in operation for actuating the configuration of gerotors. The configuration of gerotors includes an outer gerotor and an inner gerotor that are operable to cooperate to entrap and propel the fluid medium from the input port arrangement to the output port arrangement. At least one of the outer gerotor and the inner gerotor are fabricated from a flexible material and/or are internally structured so as to exhibit a flexible peripheral exterior surface in operation. Moreover, the outer gerotor and the inner gerotor are loaded and/or are assembled together in a preloaded state, within the pump head, so that a gap formed between the gerotors whereat they mutually cooperate for entrapping and propelling the fluid medium is maintained in a flexibly compressed state when the pump is in operation. Optionally, at least one of the outer and inner gerotors is fabricated as a hybrid component including regions of a flexible material therein, and regions of an inflexible material therein. More optionally, the flexible material has a Young's modulus in a range of 1 MegaPascal (MPa) to 5 GigaPascals (GPa), and the inflexible material has a Young's modulus in a range of 2 GPa to 420 GPa.

The drum includes a first fluid inlet port and a second fluid inlet port on opposite sides of the drum such that fluid entering the cavity through the first and second fluid ports flows axially in a direction parallel to the drum axis of rotation. The drum includes a radially extending outlet port such that pumped fluid flows radially out of the cavity. The housing contains the electric motor and the pump.
