SCROLL MACHINE AND VEHICLE AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A scroll machine is particularly suited as a scroll compressor for refrigerant in a vehicle air-conditioning system. First and second scrolls are each formed with a base plate and with a spiral wall that projects from the base plate and follows a spiral line. The spiral wall of the second scroll engages in a spiral path formed by the first scroll and the spiral walls form a number of compressor chambers. The spiral walls have respective wall surface profiles in regions on their wall surfaces, with the wall surface profile being superposed on the spiral line. As the facing wall surface profile contacts a respective other spiral wall a contact normal at a point of contact, which contact normal extends obliquely with respect to a corresponding local normal of the corresponding first or second spiral line.
Fused filament fabrication of abradable coatings
In general, techniques are described for fused filament fabrication of abradable coatings. An additive manufacturing system comprising a substrate defining a major surface, a filament delivery device, and a computing device may be configured to perform various aspects of the techniques. The computing device may be configured to control the filament delivery device to deposit a filament on the substrate, the filament including a powder and a binder, wherein the binder is configured to be substantially removed from the filament and the powder includes a metal or alloy configured to be sintered to form an abradable layer.
Scroll Unloading Detection System
Systems and methods for compressor unloading detection are provided and include a compressor having a compression mechanism. A controller determines a predicted discharge temperature of the compressor, receives an actual discharge temperature of the compressor, and compares the predicted discharge temperature with the actual discharge temperature. The controller also compares a speed of the compressor with a speed threshold and detects unloading of the compression mechanism based on the comparison of the predicted discharge temperature with the actual discharge temperature and based on the comparison of the speed of the compressor with the speed threshold. The controller performs at least one of generating an alert and a remediating action in response to detecting the unloading of the compression mechanism.
Natural gas fueled vehicle
A natural gas fueled vehicle, includes a natural gas fueled Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to provide motive power to the vehicle. A pressurizable tank is disposed on the vehicle to contain a natural gas. A natural gas adsorbent is disposed in the tank. A fuel supply tube is to convey the natural gas to the ICE. A scroll compressor is on the vehicle to receive the natural gas from the tank and to deliver a first mixture of compressed natural gas and an oil to a gas and oil separator. The gas and oil separator is to receive the first mixture of the compressed natural gas and the oil from the scroll compressor and to separate the oil from the compressed natural gas and to deliver the compressed natural gas to the fuel supply tube substantially free from the oil.
Vacuum-processing device and control method therefor, and vacuum soldering device and control method therefor
The invention enables quick evacuation of a chamber to a specified target degree of vacuum while increasing selectivity of evacuation conditions. A vacuum-processing device contains a chamber 40 that enables a workpiece to be soldered in a vacuum environment, an operating part 20 that sets a condition for evacuating the chamber 40, a pump 23 that evacuates the chamber 40, and a control portion 61 that calculates the amount of decrease in the degree of vacuum when evacuating the chamber 40 using a predetermined pump output, sets the calculated value as a reference value and switches an evacuation property from the evacuation property including a lower pump output to the evacuation property including a higher pump output when the calculated amount of decrease in degree of vacuum in real time has become smaller than the reference value.
NOISE AND VIBRATION MANAGEMENT FOR SMOKE EVACUATION SYSTEM
A system for noise and vibration management of a smoke evacuation system includes a pump that compresses air and produces a pressure differential within an airflow path. The pump may be a sealed, positive displacement pump. The system includes vibration absorption mechanisms disposed between inner and outer housings, as well as on the outside surface of the outer housing. Methods of controlling and regulating a motor of the system to preserve the lifespan of the motor and maintain consistent airflow rates throughout the smoke evacuation system include varying a supply of electrical current to the motor so that it can operate at variable performance levels. Orifices are opened and closed in order to relieve resistance pressures within the airflow path due to clogging and blockages.
Compressor With Funnel Assembly
A compressor may include an orbiting scroll, a non-orbiting scroll, and suction conduit. The non-orbiting scroll is meshingly engaged with the orbiting scroll and includes a lower scroll piece and an upper scroll piece that is mounted to the lower scroll piece. The suction conduit is mounted to the non-orbiting scroll. The suction conduit includes an inlet, an outlet, and a mounting flange. The outlet is disposed adjacent to and in fluid communication with a suction inlet of the non-orbiting scroll. At least a portion of the mounting flange is captured between the upper and lower scroll pieces.
Scroll compressor and air conditioner having same
A scroll compressor of an air conditioner includes a refrigerant discharge tube through which refrigerant discharged to an inner space of a casing is discharged into a refrigeration cycle. The scroll compressor further including a venturi tube disposed adjacent to the refrigerant discharge tube in the inner space of the casing, and a liquid refrigerant discharge tube having a first end connected to the venturi tube and a second end opposite to the first end and communicating with the inner space of the casing at a lower side of the refrigerant discharge tube, where liquid refrigerant can be suppressed from excessively stagnating in the inner space of the casing.
Compressor Having Counterweight
A compressor may include a compression mechanism, a motor, and a counterweight assembly. The motor assembly is drivingly engaged to the compression mechanism and includes a rotor driving a driveshaft. The rotor drives the driveshaft. The counterweight assembly is mounted axially onto the driveshaft of the motor assembly and has a first laminated stack of plates that includes a plurality of first plates and a plurality of second plates. Each first plate defines a first polygonal-shaped aperture that has a plurality of sides. Each second plate defines a second polygonal-shaped aperture that has a plurality of second sides. The first sides of the first polygonal-shaped apertures are rotationally misaligned with the second sides of the second polygonal-shaped apertures.
SCROLL PUMP TIP SEALING
A scroll pump tip seal to be fitted to a tip face of a scroll wall of a first scroll of a scroll pump to seal between the tip face and a base plate of a second scroll of the scroll pump has a first end, a second end and a plurality of flexure formations. The flexure formations are at least partial discontinuities in the tip seal disposed at spaced apart intervals between the first and second ends of the tip to facilitate lateral flexure of the tip seal.
