Folding pole, in particular for Nordic walking
The invention relates to a folding pole (1), normally comprising four pipe sections (7-9), wherein the pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of plug-in connections while aligned along the pole axis (32) in the assembled state of the folding pole (1), and normally only three pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are still connected to each other by means of a movable connecting element (16) in the folded state, and wherein a pole handle (2) is arranged on a top pipe section (7) and a pole tip (23) is arranged on a bottom pipe section (9). According to the invention, at least one of the plug-in connections is realized by means of an external clamping mechanism (10), wherein the clamping mechanism (10) is fastened to a first pipe section (7), and wherein a second pipe section (8), which has an outside diameter smaller than or nearly equal to the inside diameter of the first pipe section (7), and which is supported in the first pipe section (7) so as to be movable itself, can be fastened in the relative axial position by the external clamping mechanism (10). The further plug-in connections are designed as pure plug-in connections, wherein pipe sections (8, 8, 9) are fastened only an axial direction in the connected state. The pipe sections (7-9) are connected to each other by means of at least one tension cable (16), which is fastened to the bottom pipe section (9) and to the top pipe section (7) and which is arranged so as to pass through the interior (31) of the at least two middle pipe sections (8, 8). The folding pole (1) is designed in such a way that the folding pole can be transferred from the folded state to the assembled state by connecting the further plug-in connections, and then, with the external clamping mechanism (10) released, pulling the second pipe section (8) out of the first pipe section (7) until the tension cable (16) is under tension, and fastening the external clamping mechanism (10).
Nordic walking/running/exercise pole
The invention is directed to a Nordic walking/running/exercise pole, which is equipped with a handle flexing towards the pole shaft.
ERGONOMIC HANDLES FOR MOBILITY & REHABILITATION DEVICES
The invention provides an ergonomic handle for a mobility device comprising a central column grip region that has its lower portion extend outwards, forming a support ledge, for an ulnar portion of a user's hand upon the hand gripping the central column grip region, that extends substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the central column grip region, surrounding the lower portion of the grip region, the handle having a slit cavity that splits the support ledge and extends upward into the central column grip region, and the support ledge having an incline ledge portion that is sloped downward at a rear area of the support ledge.
Collapsible Telescoping Pole
A collapsible telescoping pole assembly provided comprising at least first, second and third elongated tubular members, the second and third tubular members being slidably received within the first and second tubular member, respectively, between retracted and extended positions. A first locking mechanism is associated with the distal end of the first tubular member for releasably securing the second tubular member within the first tubular member in its extended position. The first locking member is biased to a locked position and movable to an unlocked position by rotating the first locking mechanism relative to the first tubular member, causing the first locking mechanism to move axially in a distal direction to permit the second tubular member to slide freely within the first in tubular member. A second locking mechanism is associated with the distal end of the second tubular member for releasably securing the third tubular member within the second tubular member in its extended position. The second locking mechanism is biased to a locked position and movable to an unlocked position by axially moving the second locking mechanism relative to the second tubular member in a distal direction to permit the third tubular member to slide freely within the second tubular member.
RECREATIONAL POWER AND STABILIZING APPARATUS
A watersports paddle includes an elongated handle body having a first material, a biased member having a second material more flexible than the first material such that the biased member is more flexible than the elongated handle body, and a paddle blade coupled to the biased member opposite the elongated handle body. The biased member deforms when a force is applied to the biased member with the elongated handle body by pulling the paddle blade through water and reforms when the force is not applied to the biased member by the elongated handle body to store and release energy during use of the watersports paddle. The biased member may be a substantially planar leaf spring or a bowed leaf spring.
Anti-fatigue grip for poles
The present disclosure presents a multi-purpose pole grip design in a generally conical shape to resist a user's hand from sliding off it while under axial loading. The present disclosure provides a more ergonomic and comfortable handle that requires less grip strength thus making it a prime design for poles used in sports like skiing and hiking and general walking sticks, including canes.
Length adjustment device
A length adjustment device according to an exemplary embodiment forms a latching groove on an interior circumference of a first extension pole, which is configured to be separately assembled, and there is an effect that a manufacturing becomes easy and a mass production is possible.
Sport pole with sensors and a method for using it
The present invention relates to a sport stick that measures the driving force generated by the upper body, which is applied to the ground through poles during the natural performance of nordic walking or any other sport, where poles are used to drive/propel the body forward. An inclination sensor along with a pole length sensor (pole length constant in a fixed length pole) has been placed into the pole for the achievement of the most suitable biomechanical performance, i.e. proper technique. The sport pole uses the Global Positioning System along with a topographical map to ensure that the slope of terrain does not affect the inclination sensor measurements. All collected data is analyzed by a control center, wherein correct usage models have been saved along with a collection of the user's anthropometric and fitness levels.

The biased member may be a substantially planar leaf spring or a bowed leaf spring.
Length-adjustable pole and clamping apparatus therefor
A clamping apparatus (1) for a pole for axially fastening in a releasable manner an inner pipe segment (3) that can be inserted into an opening of the clamping apparatus. The clamping apparatus comprises a two-part plastic sleeve (5), which can be fastened to an outer pipe segment (2). The clamping apparatus also comprises a slotted clamp (16), which surrounds and clamps the plastic sleeve and which has a clamping lever (4), a lever arm (9) of which has an eccentric rolling region (8), by which the distance between a stop (12) and a counter surface (27) arranged on the outside of the first projection (13) can be reduced for clamping by pivoting the clamping lever (4) into the closed position.
