SAVORY CLUSTER SNACK FOOD
The present invention discloses a snack food product comprising a plurality of savory clusters, each cluster comprising a dry mixture comprising at least one grain, at least one seed and at least one nut, the mixture being coated with a binder, wherein the binder comprises or consists of a mixture of a soluble dietary fibre component and a low dextrose equivalent (DE) sugar syrup, the low dextrose equivalent (DE) sugar symp having a maximum dextrose equivalent (DE) of 40, in a weight ratio within the range of from 30:70 to 70:30, and each cluster comprises from 65 to 85 wt % of the mixture and from 15 to 35 wt % of the binder, each wt % value being the based on the total weight of the cluster. The snack food provides a satisfying snack between meals or in place of a meal.

Pet food including cannabidiolic acid
A pet food product includes a food substrate manufactured by extrusion, baking or other process involving heat. The pet food product includes less than 10% of hemp oil by weight, and preferably less than 5% by weight. The hemp oil has cannabinoids, including acidiccannabinoids. The acidic cannabinoids have a concentration of less than 100 parts per million, and preferably between 10-40 parts per million in the hemp oil. The acidic cannabinoids include cannabidiolic acid (CBD-A) and cannabidiol (CBD) in a ratio of at least 1:1, and preferably 3:1, or greater. An antioxidant is added to the hemp oil to inhibit oxidation of the acidiccannabinoids including the (CBD-A). The pet food product includes a second oil blended with the hemp oil. The antioxidant and the second oil cooperate to inhibit oxidation of the acidic cannabinoids.

Provided are a method and a system for producing puree or paste that is less likely to separate or drip or for producing an ice confection, without compromising the flavors and colors of the ingredients. The producing method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps: (1) cutting fruit or a vegetable to have a certain size, (2) performing heat sterilization for a certain period of time in a low oxygen state in a superheated steam atmosphere at a certain temperature, and (3) processing the fruit or the vegetable into a puree or paste form using any one of a planetary centrifugal mixer, a millstone grinder, and a rotary cutter mixer, depending on the type of the fruit or the vegetable or the finished state of the puree or paste. Adding a stabilizer such as kudzu starch to the puree or paste thus produced to make an ice confection can provide an ice confection having unique texture, almost without dripping even when being melted.

The present invention relates to an edible, water-continuous composition comprising 15-80 wt. % water, by weight of the composition, 5-50 wt. % comminuted, sunflower seeds, by weight of the composition, wherein the comminuted sunflower seeds consist of raw sunflower seeds and roasted sunflower seeds such that 5-50 wt. % of the comminuted sunflower seeds is roasted sunflower seeds.
Nut oil separation system and method and products resulting therefrom
A system and method for the separation of nut or seed oil from shelled nuts or seeds are disclosed. The method comprises the grinding of shelled nuts or seeds and at least one carbohydrate for a length of time sufficient to promote nut or seed oil separation, leaving behind defatted nut or seed dough that can be further processed into a food product such as snack bar or nut milk. A system for the separation of nut or seed oil from shelled nuts or seeds comprises sources for both shelled nuts or seeds and at least one carbohydrate, and a grinding unit comprising at least one movable member, optional stationary member, and a vessel.
NUT PASTE PREPARATION FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE
A nut paste preparation for food and beverages is formed by processing blanched, unroasted nuts into a nut based flour having a mean particle size between about 0.002 and 0.012 inches. The processing occurs without adding water and oil. The temperature during processing does not exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The nut based flour is sheared without adding water and oil to form a nut paste. The temperature during shearing does not exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The nut paste after shearing has a mean particle size of about 1 to about 40 microns.
