A fluid pump includes a pump element where rotation of the pump element generates suction at the inlet and pressure at the outlet to move fluid through a fluid path. An inlet orifice directs a portion of the fluid through the accessory fluid path that includes a low-restriction return path providing a continuous flow of the fluid through the accessory fluid path and to an outlet orifice. A circuit board housing includes a contoured portion and a PCB with a thermistor in communication with contoured portion. The continuous flow is directed between the contoured portion and the outlet orifice between a rotor and the outer wall. The low-restriction return path maintains a temperature of the continuous flow of the fluid within the contoured portion of the accessory fluid path to be similar to a temperature of the fluid in the fluid path.

COMPRESSOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMPRESSOR

A compressor includes a casing having a cylindrical portion, a compression mechanism fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion, an external portion, a welding nut, and a bolt. The external portion includes a temperature reaction portion that reacts to a temperature change of the cylindrical portion. The external portion is mounted on an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. The welding nut is welded to the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion to mount the external portion on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. The bolt fixes the external portion to the welding nut.

Capacity control for chillers having screw compressors

A compressor system includes a screw compressor and a controller. The screw compressor includes a slide valve selectively actuatable between a first position and a second position to facilitate modulating a capacity of the screw compressor between fully-loaded and fully-unloaded. The controller is communicably coupled to the slide valve. The controller is configured to receive a chilled fluid temperature setpoint for a fluid in heat transfer communication with a refrigerant of the refrigeration circuit; receive temperature data indicative of a chilled fluid temperature of the fluid; determine a difference between the chilled fluid temperature and the chilled fluid temperature setpoint; and provide one of a load command and an unload command to the slide valve based the difference between the chilled fluid temperature and the chilled fluid temperature setpoint. According to an embodiment, the controller does not receive feedback from the screw compressor regarding a position of the slide valve.

The present invention provides an oil feed type air compressor that can reduce a power consumption of a compressor body during an unload operation. The oil feed type air compressor includes: a compressor body (1) compressing air while feeding an oil into a compression chamber; a separator (4) disposed on a discharge side of the compressor body; a compressed air-feeding system (5) feeding the compressed air separated by the separator to a use destination of the compressed air; an oil-feeding system (6) feeding the oil separated by the separator to the compression chamber of the compressor body; an oil cooler (11) and a temperature sensor (12) disposed in the oil-feeding system; and a controller enabling execution of a temperature control. The temperature control by the controller is performed by variably controlling a rotation speed of a cooling fan (13) such that, during the load operation, a temperature detected by the temperature sensor is a target value T1, and during the unload operation, the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is a target value T2 (with the proviso of T1>T2).
