Electronically-Controlled Compressed Air System

A compressed air system may comprise an air compressor configured to generate compressed air, a reservoir configured to store the compressed air, a reservoir pressure sensor configured to monitor an actual reservoir pressure of the compressed air stored in the reservoir, an outlet valve configured to regulate a flow of the compressed air out of the reservoir, and an outlet electronic actuator configured to adjust a position of the outlet valve. The compressed air system may further comprise an electronic control module (ECM) configured to transmit a command to the outlet electronic actuator to cause the outlet electronic actuator to open the outlet valve when the actual reservoir pressure is above a target reservoir pressure, and transmit a command to the electronic actuator to cause the electronic actuator to close the outlet valve when the actual reservoir pressure is below the target reservoir pressure.

A gas seal column apparatus includes a pump drive motor, a gas seal column, a pump system, a level sensor, and a control box. The gas seal column receives a seal gas for pressurizing the gas seal column. The pump system includes a pump and the gas seal column. The pump system is coupled to the pump drive motor and moves a product through the pump. The level sensor is supported on a sensor column that is separate from the gas seal column to detect a level of the product in the gas seal column and any fumes in the gas seal column. The control box is in communication with the level sensor and controls the seal gas received within the gas seal column and the sensor column to control an amount of fumes and the level of the product within the gas seal column.

A turbopump system includes a pump portion including a housing having a pressure release passageway disposed therein. The pump portion is disposed between a high pressure side and a low pressure side of a working fluid circuit. A drive turbine is coupled to the pump portion and configured to drive the pump portion to enable the pump portion to circulate a working fluid through the working fluid circuit. A pressure release valve is fluidly coupled to the pressure release passageway and configured to be positioned in an opened position to enable pressure to be released through the pressure release passageway and in a closed position to disable pressure from being released through the pressure release passageway.

METHOD FOR SHUTTING OFF A PUMP AS WELL AS PUMP STATION ARRANGEMENT

A pump station arrangement and a method for turning off a pump configured for pumping liquid via a conduit. The pump, before being turned off, being driven at an operational frequency (F.sub.N) by a control unit. The method is characterized by the steps of, ramping down the frequency of the pump due to a turn off instruction, the terminal frequency of the ramping down being equal to the operational frequency (F.sub.N) of the pump minus at least 10 Hz and the ramping down time being at least a reflection time (T.sub.R) for the conduit in question, and the terminal frequency of the ramping down not being less than 10 Hz, and stopping the pump after the ramping down.

Discharge vacuum relief valve for safety vacuum release system

A discharge vacuum relief valve kit to provide vacuum relief for a SVRS pump in a hydraulic system is provided. The discharge vacuum relief valve kit includes a vacuum vent tube including a first end and a second end, a discharge vacuum relief valve coupled to the first end of the vacuum vent tube, and a vacuum vent screen coupled to the second end of the vacuum vent tube. The discharge vacuum relief valve is coupled to a drain plug opening of the SVRS pump.
