Blower Apparatus and Method for Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner
A blower apparatus designed for PTAC use includes an impeller configured to be capable of rotating about a central axis; a low voltage DC motor arranged to drive the impeller; a housing configured to accommodate the motor and impeller fixed together; an inlet cover which draws fresh air into the apparatus and an outlet port that discharges the fresh air through an outlet port and at least two directional changes perpendicular to the flow of fresh air through the inlet.
Lightweight Inflation Device
An inflator for inflating an air mattress or the like may include a housing, a rotor, a stator, an electric motor, and at least one battery. The rotor may be contained within the housing and include a first circuit of fan blades and a second circuit of fan blades. The first and second circuits of fan blades may respectively generate centrifugal and axial flows of air when the electric motor rotates the rotor with respect to the stator. The stator may be contained within the housing and include a third circuit of fan blades. The at least one battery may power the electric motor. The at least one battery and the electric motor may also be contained within the housing.
WEARABLE DEVICE FOR DELIVERING AIR
A personal entertainment respiratory apparatus provides air to a user to provide a fully immersive entertainment experience. The personal entertainment system may comprise a flow generator for providing the flow of air. A personal spatial respiratory interface may be coupled to the flow generator. The personal spatial respiratory interface may comprise an outlet for the flow generator. The personal spatial respiratory interface may further be configured to direct the flow of air within an ambient breathing proximity of a user. The personal entertainment respiratory apparatus may further comprise a controller and a sensory particle dispenser. The controller and sensory particle dispenser may be configured to selectively activate release of a sensory particle from the dispenser into the directed flow of air in response to an entertainment triggering signal.
Axi-centrifugal compressor with variable outlet guide vanes
A compressor apparatus includes: an upstream portion comprising an axial-flow compressor; a downstream portion comprising a centrifugal-flow compressor; and a row of variable-stagger-angle outlet guide vanes disposed between the upstream and downstream portions.
BLOWER UNIT OF AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a blower unit of an air conditioner for a vehicle, which can effectively prevent water from being introduced into a motor and has a motor housing and a blower wheel improved to smoothly perform cooling of the motor. The blower unit of a two-layered air conditioner for a vehicle, which can divide and inhale indoor air and outdoor air, includes: a scroll case having an upper passageway and a lower passageway; a first blower wheel disposed in the upper passageway; a second blower wheel disposed in the lower passageway and arranged below the first blower wheel; a blower motor for rotating the first blower wheel and the second blower wheel; and a motor housing for covering the blower motor, wherein a hub for guiding air is disposed on the second blower wheel, and the hub of the second blower wheel is partially overlapped with an end portion of the motor housing.
REFRIGERANT COMPRESSOR
One exemplary embodiment of this disclosure relates to a refrigerant compressor. The compressor includes an axial section having a plurality of blades and vanes and a centrifugal section having an impeller. The centrifugal section is arranged downstream of the axial section.
HVAC COMPRESSOR WITH MIXED AND RADIAL COMPRESSION STAGES
A refrigerant compressor according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a first compression stage arranged in a main refrigerant flow path. The first compression stage is a mixed compression stage having both axial and radial components. The compressor further includes a second compression stage arranged in the main refrigerant flow path downstream of the first compression stage. The second compression stage is a radial compression stage.
Fan system with integrated fan-shroud channel for reduced recirculation flow
The invention refers to a fan system (10) comprising a fan shroud (14) and a ring fan (12) having a hub (30), a plurality of fan blades (32), and a ring structure (34). The ring structure (34) has a ring member (46) and a flange member (48), the ring member (46) having a hollow cylindrical shape, the flange member (48) extending radially outwardly from the ring member (46). The fan shroud (14) has an annular shroud flange (54), a shroud body (56) and a plurality of shroud guide vanes (58), the shroud flange (54) extending radially outwardly from the shroud body (56) and being disposed along the rotary axis (A) between the flange member (48) and the shroud body (56), the shroud body (56) being disposed about the ring member (46) and having a first body portion (70), a second body portion (72) and a divergent nozzle (74). A recirculation throttle (88) is formed by the shroud body (56) and the ring member (46) at a location where the first and second body portions (70, 72) of the shroud body (56) intersect one another.
