The examples of the pump system disclosed herein include an impeller coupled to an impeller shaft; an axial flux electric motor including rotors and a stator; a rotor shaft connected to the rotors, wherein the rotor shaft is coupled to the impeller shaft; a seal to prevent the fluid from contacting the axial flux electric motor; a first housing to frame the impeller shaft; and a second housing to frame the axial flux electric motor, wherein the second housing is separate from the first housing.
RING LATCH LOCKING SHAFT COUPLING FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL LOADING
An electrical submersible pump assembly comprising a first section and a second section with an outer housing and a drive shaft. A coupling assembly comprising a coupling, a thrust pin, and a retainer ring mechanically couples the first drive shaft to the second drive shaft. The coupling is generally cylindrical in shape with splines formed along the inner surface configured to transfer torque from the first shaft to the second shaft. The thrust pin is installed in a pin bore in the lower shaft and extends into a retainer bore in the upper shaft. The retainer ring is installed between a groove in the retainer bore and a retainer groove on the outside of the thrust pin. The thrust pin is configured to transfer tensile stress from the retainer bore in first drive shaft to the pin bore in the second drive shaft.
IMPELLER BEARINGS FOR PUMPS
Impeller bearings for pumps are disclosed. An example fluid pump includes a motor, a shaft coupled to a rotor of the motor, an impeller coupled to the shaft, a first radial bearing positioned around the shaft of the motor aft of the motor, and a second radial bearing positioned around the impeller.
PATCH RINGS AND METHODS OF USE
Shaft assemblies, turbomachines, and methods of servicing a turbomachine are provided. A shaft assembly includes a first shaft having a first rabbet annularly defined therein. The first rabbet includes a first axially extending face and a first radially extending face. A second shaft coupled to the first shaft. The second shaft includes a second rabbet annularly defined therein and positioned opposite the first rabbet. The second rabbet includes a second axially extending face and a second radially extending face. A patch ring is mounted between the first rabbet and the second rabbet. The patch ring includes a main body positioned between and in contact with the first axially extending face and the second axially extending face. A first arm extends radially outward from the main body, and a second arm extends radially inward from the main body.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF ROTATIONAL ALIGNMENT OF PERMANENT MAGNET TANDEM MOTORS FOR ELECTRICAL SUBMERSIBLE PUMP
An electrical submersible well pump assembly has first and second permanent magnet motors. The first motor drive shaft is connected to a coupling that has internal splines for receiving an externally splined end of the second motor drive shaft. Alignment devices rotationally align magnetic poles of the first drive shaft with the magnetic poles of the second drive shaft prior to securing the housings of the first and second motors together. The alignment devices may be a coupling irregularity in the internal splines that is at a controlled orientation relative to the magnetic poles of the first shaft and a shaft irregularity in the external splines that prevents the second drive shaft from fully engaging the coupling unless the shaft irregularity is in a specified rotational position relative to the coupling irregularity.
Pump Device, especially for mobile means of transport
Mobile means of transport (100) with a pump apparatus (1) and mobile pump apparatus (1) for use in mobile means of transport (100) such as semitrailers, tank trailers, tank semitrailers (101), tank trucks and trucks (102), comprising a drive motor (40) and a rotary piston pump (2). The drive motor (40) comprises a motor shaft (41) for driving the rotary piston pump (2). The rotary piston pump (2) comprises a housing (3) and two pump openings (4, 5) configured thereon, one of which serves as a pump inlet (4) and the other, as a pump outlet (5).
The rotary piston pump (2) comprises at least two rotor units (10, 20) rotatably accommodated in the housing (3) in a pump chamber (6) for conveying a fluid from the pump inlet (4) to the pump outlet (5). The two rotor units (10, 20) are accommodated on rotatably mounted rotor shafts (11, 21), each rotor shaft (11, 21) being equipped with a rotor gear wheel (12, 22) arranged outside the pump chamber (6). A drive pinion (32) of a drive shaft (31) of the rotary piston pump (2) is coupled to one of the rotor gear wheels (12). The motor shaft (41) of the drive motor (40) has a recess (81) at its front end (41a), where the drive shaft (31) of the rotary piston pump (2) is accommodated and coupled to the drive shaft (31).
Shaft Couplings for High Tensile Loads in ESP Systems
A shaft coupling for connecting an upper shaft with a lower shaft within a pumping system is designed to handle a large tensile load between the upper and lower shafts. In some embodiments, the upper shaft includes a shaft ring groove and the coupling has a body and a first receiving chamber within the body that receives an end of the upper shaft. The coupling also includes an upper internal groove extending into the body from the first receiving chamber and an upper split ring that is configured to be compressed into a position occupying both the upper internal groove and the shaft ring groove of the upper shaft. Set screws compress the upper split ring into the shaft ring groove of the upper shaft. In another embodiment, the coupling includes a plurality of locking screws that extend through the body into corresponding lock screw grooves in the upper and lower shafts.
Deflection spring seal
An intershaft seal assembly that is between a first shaft and a second shaft of a bearing compartment of an engine includes a first seal element and a retaining element. The first seal element surrounds the first shaft and includes a first portion is in contact with the first shaft and a second portion extending in a non-parallel direction to a radial direction of the first shaft. The retaining element is threadably engaged with the first shaft such that the retaining element presses the first seal element against the shoulder of the first shaft.
