COMPRESSOR ROTOR STRUCTURE
Compressor rotor structure for turbomachinery, such as a compressor, is provided. Disclosed embodiments can benefit from sealing sleeves that may be arranged to inhibit passage onto respective hirth couplings of process fluid being processed by the compressor. The sealing sleeves may be affixed to adjoining structures (e.g., adjoining impeller bodies) by way of a slip fit connection to one of the adjoining structures and an interference fit connection with respect to the other adjoining structure, which is conducive to a user-friendly assembly of the sealing sleeves with the adjoining structures.
COMPRESSOR WHEEL ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A COMPRESSOR WHEEL ARRANGEMENT
A compressor wheel arrangement for an electrically powered turbocharger, which can be connected with a rotor shaft of the turbocharger, having a compressor wheel made of a first metallic material, a shaft made of a second metallic material, which is tightly connected with the compressor wheel, at least one permanent magnet, which is non-rotatably arranged on the section of the shaft, in a ring-shaped area around a section of the shaft that extends behind the compressor wheel, between a casing and the shaft.
IMPELLER ATTACH MECHANISM
An impeller attach mechanism for a turbocharger including a stud extending from a central bore of a compressor impeller toward a turbine wheel, the stud having a first threaded region and a second threaded region; a shaft coupled to the turbine wheel and extending toward the compressor impeller, the shaft having a leading portion, the leading portion having a threaded interior configured to engage the second threaded region of the stud; and an insert having an internal portion and an external portion, the internal portion having a threaded external surface to engage the compressor impeller, the internal portion having a threaded internal surface to engage the first threaded region of the stud, the external portion configured to surround the leading portion of the shaft.
Side-channel compressor for a fuel cell system for conveying and/or compressing a gaseous medium
The invention relates to a side-channel compressor (1) for a fuel cell system (37) for conveying and/or compressing a gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, comprising a housing (3); a compressor chamber (30) which is situated in the housing (3) and which has at least one encircling side channel (19, 21); a compressor impeller (2) which is situated in the housing (3) and which is arranged so as to be rotatable about a rotational axis (4), wherein the compressor impeller (2) has conveying cells (5) arranged on the impeller circumference in the region of the compressor chamber (30); and in each case one gas inlet opening (14) formed on the housing (3) and one gas outlet opening (16), which are fluidically connected together via the compressor chamber (30), in particular the at least one side channel (19, 21). The housing (3) has a respective first and second end face (32, 34) radially to the rotational axis (4), each end face facing the compressor impeller (2), and a first and second functionally relevant gap dimension (36, 38) is formed in the region of each gap surface. According to the invention, the compressor impeller (2) is designed in multiple parts and has a first impeller shell (10) and a second impeller shell (12). The impeller shells (10, 12) are arranged adjacently to each other axially to the rotational axis (4) in particular, and each impeller shell is at least partly made of a plastic.
Rotary machine
A rotary machine includes a cylindrical rotary shaft extending in a direction of an axis, a fastening bolt having a bolt body that extends in a direction of an axis O in the rotary shaft to form fastening portions at both ends, a pair of rotary bodies each having an end portion in the direction of the axis that is fixed to each of the pair of fastening portions to be in contact with an end surface of the rotary shaft in the direction of the axis, and a bolt extension mechanism that temporarily extends the bolt body in the direction of the axis.
Balancing ring anti-rotation spacer
A rotating assembly for a gas turbine engine has a balancing ring mounted to a first rotating component having a rotating unbalance about an axis of rotation. The ring is clocked at a circumferential position about the axis to counteract the rotating unbalance. A spacer is axially abutted against the first rotating component to set an axial position of the first rotating component relative to a second rotating component. The balancing ring is locked against rotation relative to the first rotating component in its circumferential position by the dual use spacer.
COMPRESSOR ROTOR HAVING SEAL ELEMENTS
A compressor rotor for turbomachinery, such as a compressor, is provided. Disclosed embodiments can benefit from seal elements that may be arranged to inhibit passage onto respective hirth couplings of process fluid being processed by the compressor. A seal element may be affixed to adjacent rotor components (e.g., adjacent impeller bodies) by way of a slip or interference fit connection to one of the adjacent components and may be affixed to the other adjacent rotor component by way of a elastically flexible frustoconical inner surface of the seal element that permits the seal element to be placed in a spring-loaded condition, which generates a biasing force to circumferentially clamp onto a frustoconical outer surface of the other adjacent rotor component. This arrangement is conducive to user-friendly assembly/disassembly of the seal elements with respect to the adjacent rotor components.
IMPELLER WITH REMOVABLE AND REPLACEABLE VANES FOR CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
The present disclosure relates to impellers with removable and replaceable vanes, and methods of constructing such impellers. According to aspects of the present disclosure, a plurality of impeller back plates are provided with differently configured slots to receive removable vanes. In addition, a plurality of differently configured vanes are disclosed which may be connected to the plurality of impeller back plates. As a result, the desired performance characteristics of a pump based upon end use applications may be efficiently and quickly achieved by combining appropriately configured vanes and back plate into a desired impeller providing the desired characteristics, together with a particular pump casing and motor.
COMPRESSOR ROTOR HAVING FLOW LOOP THROUGH TIE BOLT
Compressor rotor structure for turbomachinery, such as a compressor, is provided. Disclosed embodiments may involve a flow loop that at least in part flows through the interior of the tie bolt or by way of a venting arrangement that at least in part extends through one of the rotor shafts of the rotor structure. Disclosed embodiments may further benefit from seal elements that may be arranged to inhibit passage onto respective hirth couplings of the process fluid being processed by the compressor. In operation, the flow loop may be appropriately pressurized to keep any residual seal leakage that may develop in one or more of the seal elements from travelling onto the hirth couplings
