Accessory for a self-balancing board
An accessory for a self-balancing board is provided. The self-balancing board comprises a foot-deck having two lateral foot-deck ends. Each lateral foot-deck end is coupled to a motor that drives a wheel in response to an orientation of the lateral foot-deck end relative to a horizontal plane. The accessory includes a chassis, at least one travel surface-contacting element coupled proximal to a first longitudinal end of the chassis to facilitate travel of the chassis over a travel surface, and a seat coupled to the chassis and configured to support a person. The accessory further includes a first foot-deck engagement element proximal to a second longitudinal end of the chassis distal to the first longitudinal end and constructed to engage the foot-deck of the self-balancing board proximal to the first lateral foot-deck end, and a second foot-deck engagement element proximal to the second longitudinal end of the chassis and constructed to engage the foot-deck of the self-balancing board proximal to the second lateral foot-deck end. At least one control member coupled to the first foot-deck engagement element and the second foot-deck engagement element controls the orientation of the lateral foot-deck ends relative to a horizontal plane via the first foot-deck engagement element and the second foot-deck engagement element.
FOOT-DECK-BASED VEHICLE AND ACCESSORY FOR SAME
A foot-deck-based vehicle, a front wheel support, and at least one accessory therefor are provided. The foot-deck-based vehicle having a foot-deck with a front end, a rear end, and at least one rear wheel proximal to the rear end. The foot-deck-based vehicle has a front wheel support comprising a pair of wheel interfaces, each of which is couplable to a front wheel, a main body extending between the wheel interfaces and coupled to the foot-deck, and at least one recess in the main body. At least one accessory is snugly securable within the at least one recess of the front wheel support, wherein the main body has a first stiffness when the at least one accessory is removed from the at least one recess, and has a second stiffness that is greater than the first stiffness when the at least one accessory is snugly secured within the at least one recess, wherein the first stiffness and the second stiffness are resistances to bending under a bending load applied to the front wheel support through the foot-deck when the foot-deck supports a person.
Modular activity board
An apparatus for receiving one or more activity attachments including a deck having one or more openings along a long axis of the deck and between the top surface and the bottom surface of the deck. Each of the one or more openings having a circular aperture for receiving an accessory of a set of accessories. Each accessory of the set of accessories providing an activity for a user of the activity. Each accessory having an attachment platform configured to attach the accessory to the board. The attachment platform having a locking mechanism to engaging with a complementary locking mechanism of the board.
SELF-BALANCING BOARD WITH PRIMARY WHEEL AND DISTAL AUXILIARY WHEEL
A self-balancing board is provided, comprising a primary wheel assembly, a platform, at least one sensor, a controller, a first auxiliary wheel assembly, and a first brake element. The primary wheel assembly comprises a primary wheel and a motor driving the primary wheel. The platform is secured to the primary wheel assembly and has a foot deck. The at least one sensor senses the orientation of the platform. The controller receives data from the at least one sensor and controls the motor in response to the received data. The first auxiliary wheel assembly is secured to the platform distal the primary wheel assembly, and is elevated from contacting a flat surface upon which the primary wheel rests when the foot deck is parallel to the flat surface. The first brake element is manually movable relative to the first auxiliary wheel assembly to engage the first auxiliary wheel assembly to provide resistance to rotation of the first auxiliary wheel assembly.
SYSTEM FOR A FOLDING SKATEBOARD WITH HANDS FREE FOLDING OPERATION
The system and method invention herein disclosed and claimed is a folding skateboard. It can be folded while at rest, on the ground, by applying pressure to one end as the bi-folding deck portions pivot toward one another and come to rest in a fully folded position.
Pitch-propelled vehicle
A method, system and apparatus for carrying a user including a board for supporting the user, a ground-contacting member coupled with the board, a motorized drive assembly coupled with the ground-contacting member and one or more sensors coupled with the drive assembly. In operation, the drive assembly adjusts the velocity of the ground-contacting member based on one or more distances of the board from a surface below the board as detected by the sensors. As a result, the system is able to maintain a desired velocity when ascending, descending or traversing uneven ground without the need for excessive and sometimes impossible tilting of the board.
BATTERY POWERED SKATEBOARD
The disclosure relates generally to an electric skateboard. The electric skateboard may include a deck, at least a rechargeable battery pack, a control module, and a communications module, a pair of trucks mounted to the deck, a plurality of wheels mounted on axles of the trucks; and one or more motors installed in one or more of the plurality of wheels for propelling the electric skateboard. The deck may include a front end, a rear end, a top plate. The rechargeable battery pack, control module, and communications module may be enclosed in an enclosure attached to the deck.
Personal Transportation Device
A personal transportation device having first and second elongated foot support member that are arranged substantially in parallel and approximate to some extent the experience of skiing. The lateral distance of the foot support members may be adjusted. Biased-direction caster wheels may be provided that permit propulsion from side to side movement as well as kicking off and other propulsion techniques. Tiltable steering assemblies are disclosed that may impart a tilting of a front wheel to achieve turning. Various embodiments are disclosed.
One-person vehicle for urban transport
One-person vehicle (1) for urban transport comprising a transport deck (2) for one user of the vehicle (1), trucks (3) for the displacement of said transport deck (2), and control arms (4) for said trucks (3) which are attached to said transport deck (2) so that they can pivot with respect to said trucks (3) when the user swings the deck (2) for changing the traveling direction of the vehicle (1), and is characterized by the fact that each of said trucks (3) comprises a pivot (5) to be inserted into one of said control arms (4) and a damper assembly (19) which is interposed between the pivot (5) and the arm (4) rotating about said pivot (5), allowing said damper assembly (19) to compensate on said arm (4) the weight force that swings the deck (2) and to drive the return to the centre of said arm (4) when said force yields.
