The present disclosure relates to a flow turning system for imparting a rotational, swirling motion to a fluid flowing through the flow turning system. The system may comprise a housing and a flow turning element supported within the housing. The flow turning element may have a plurality of circumferentially spaced vanes projecting into a flow path of the fluid as the fluid flows through the flow turning system. The vanes impart a swirling, circumferential flow to the fluid to help prevent contaminants in the fluid from adhering to downstream components in communication with the flow turning system.

A pump assembly with at least one liquid space (32) in an interior. The liquid space (32) contains a liquid or is configured for receiving a liquid. A sensor (34, 42) is arranged in the liquid space (32), which sensor is configured to detect at least one material property of the liquid located in the liquid space (32). A filter element (44) is arranged in the interior of the liquid space (32) such that the filter element (44) shields the sensor (34, 42) with respect to the surrounding liquid space (32), the filter element (44) being permeable to the liquid. A method for controlling a pump assembly is also provided.

The base is disposed between the impeller and the motor and includes an accommodating groove having an inlet port in communication with the rotor chamber to allow fluid in the pump chamber to enter into the rotor chamber. In the pump device, precipitation has been performed to fluid in the accommodating groove before the fluid enters into the rotor chamber, thus the impurity particles can be prevented from entering into the rotor chamber, thereby prolonging the service life of the pump device.

The fluid pressure is increased by progressively increasing the volume through which the fluid travels. A tear-drop shaped volute casing surrounding the diffuser and impeller creates a pocket of maximum pressure just below the outlet. A dampener can be provided to dampen the vibration of the motor. A cylindrical basket strainer can be provided with a flat face abutting against the volute casing to distribute pressure evenly. A clamp ring can be provided to easily seal and access the basket strainer using a plain rod.
