VIBRATION-DAMPING SUPPORT DEVICE

Disclosed is a vibration-damping support device, including a housing, and a core shaft having one end passing through the housing to connect with a vibration source. The vibration-damping support device further includes two elastic members arranged within the housing and spaced apart from each other. Each elastic member includes an inner hole, so that it can be mounted on the core shaft. Each elastic member includes an elastic rubber body, and a plurality of metal plates that are embedded in the elastic rubber body and parallel to each other. The elastic rubber body extends beyond the metal plates in a radial direction. With this vibration-damping support device, a variable stiffness can be achieved.

System and method for in situ repair of gas turbine engine casing clearance

The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for repairing an abradable material coated on a casing of a gas turbine engine. The system includes an articulating guide configured to fit into an access port of the gas turbine engine. Further, the articulating guide has a proximal end and a distal end. The system also includes a repair tool configured at a distal end of the articulating guide. The repair tool includes a body having a proximal end and a shaped distal end, with the shaped distal end extending away from the body. Thus, the shaped distal body is configured to trench out an area of the abradable material comprising a defect. The system also includes a filler material for filling the trenched out area.

VORTEX GENERATORS FOR WIND TURBINE ROTOR BLADES

The present disclosure is directed to a vortex generator configured for mounting to either of a suction side or a pressure side of a rotor blade. The vortex generator includes a base portion having a contour in an uninstalled state that substantially aligns with or conforms to a contour of a plurality of locations of either on the suction side or the pressure side of the rotor blade. Further, the vortex generator includes a protrusion member extending upwardly from the base portion. The protrusion member includes a plurality of tines separated by at least one slit. Moreover, the base portion and the protrusion member are constructed of a rigid material. In addition, the vortex generator includes a flexible coating material configured at least partially around the base portion and/or within or around the at least one slit.

WIND TOWERS CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM

The invention relates to a system having multiple improvements compared to conventional systems for building wind towers made of section of reinforced concrete, in order to significantly reduce building costs. Such improvements include: obtaining a profile extruding from truncated cone sections that conform as much as possible to the ideal curved profile of the tower; using pre-stretched cables, which are factory-tensioned before installing the rebar, and tendons that pass through the arch stones, making it possible to link various arch stones with one another; and reducing the thickness of the arch stones; and arranging the rebar in only one layer, as well as other improvements described through the present invention.
