COMPRESSIBLE ROTOR FOR A FLUID PUMP
The invention relates to a rotor (2, 15) for a fluid pump (1), in particular for use in the medical sphere, the rotor being compressible for bringing to the place of use and thereafter being expandable. The compressibility is assisted by the provision of cavities (27, 28, 29), in particular also production of the rotor at least partially from a foam.
VORTEX-SHEDDING-ARRANGEMENT
A Vortex-shedding-arrangement, which is prepared to be arranged on a tower of a wind turbine, is provided. Embodiments of the invention even relate to a tower, which is equipped with the Vortex-shedding-arrangement and to a method to equip the tower with the Vortex-shedding-arrangement.
The Vortex-shedding-arrangement according to embodiments of the invention is arranged and prepared to be connected to a surface of a tower. The Vortex-shedding-arrangement is prepared to reduce Vortex-induced-vibrations, acting on the tower and its structure, during the tower-transportation. The vortex shedding arrangement comprises vortex shedding elements and at least one shrink foil. The at least one shrink foil is prepared to fix and to position the vortex shedding elements at specific positions at the tower surface by heat applied to the shrink foil.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL, A WIND TURBINE BLADE, A WIND TURBINE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Provided is a composite material for a wind turbine blade, the composite material including a plurality of rigid elements and plurality of flexible elements, wherein each flexible element is arranged between two rigid elements and is connected thereto such that the rigid elements are flexibly connected to each other by the flexible elements. The flexibility of the composite material can be achieved by using the interspaces between the rigid elements. Therefore, when the composite material is placed on a curved surface, hollow spaces between the rigid elements may be reduced or avoided.

The compressibility is assisted by the provision of cavities, in particular also production of the rotor at least partially from a foam.
Wind turbine blade
Wind turbine blades comprising one or more deformable trailing edge sections, each deformable trailing edge section comprising a first and a second actuator, wherein the second actuator is arranged substantially downstream from the first actuator, and wherein the first actuator is of a first type and wherein the second actuator is of a second type, the second type being different from the first type. The application further relates to wind turbines comprising such blades and methods of operating a wind turbine comprising one or more of such blades.
REPLACEMENT TUBE FOR A CELLULAR SUCTION STABILIZING MANIFOLD
A replacement tube for a manifold is provided. The replacement tube includes a closed cell foam and a reinforcement strip. The closed cell foam is formed in a cylindrical tube and flexible to absorb pressure pulsations in a chamber of a suction manifold or in another device. The reinforcement strip is fixed along a length of the closed cell foam to support the closed cell foam from flexing and collapsing along the length of the closed cell foam.
Wind turbine blade
Wind turbine blades comprising one or more deformable trailing edge sections having a multistable sheet comprising a plurality of bistable elements, each bistable element having two stable positions, wherein the multistable sheet is attached in a cantilever manner to a structural portion of the blade and extends in a chordwise direction, and the multistable sheet is connected to a skin of the blade such that upon changing one or more bistable elements from one stable position to the other stable position a shape of the trailing edge section changes. The application further relates to wind turbines comprising such blades and methods of controlling loads on the blades.
Plastic pump housing consisting of an inner casing, an outer casing and filling material therebetween
A pump housing made of plastic sections is provided. The housing includes a first casing that has a first side facing the region in which a pumped medium will flow, and a second casing that has a second side facing the environment. The pump housing's first casing and second casing are both dimensionally stable, with a space between the first casing and the second casing. A filler material such as a self-expanding foam may be provided in the space. The pump casings may be standardized components, and multiple casings may be assembled to form pump housings to suit a particular application.
CENTRIFUGAL FAN
A centrifugal fan includes a motor, a support body, a rotating body, and a housing. The motor includes a rotor hub that rotates around a central axis extending up and down. The support body is fixed to the rotor hub and rotates together with the rotor hub. The rotating body is different from the support body in material. The rotating body is a continuous porous body. The housing accommodates the rotating body, the support body, and the motor. The housing includes an air inlet open in an axial direction and at least one air outlet open in a radial direction. A radially inner surface of the rotating body opposes a radially outer surface of the rotor hub with a gap interposed therebetween.
