Geared architecture for gas turbine engine
A turbofan engine includes a fan section. A turbine section is in driving engagement with the fan section through a planetary gear system. The planetary gear system includes a plurality of planet gears surrounding a sun gear. A carrier supports the plurality of planet gears and includes a first carrier bearing flange. A ring gear surrounds the plurality of planet gears and includes a ring gear bearing flange. At least one ring gear carrier bearing engages the carrier bearing flange and the ring gear bearing flange. A speed change mechanism for a gas turbine is also disclosed.
Drive shaft comprising a fusible section and method for protecting such a drive shaft against an overtorque
A drive shaft of an aircraft turbine engine includes a first portion and a second portion, and connecting means connecting the first and second portions and being configured to transmit a torque from the second portion to the first portion. The connecting means has at least one bellows with a first section having a diameter greater than the diameters of the first and second portions and second sections flanking the first section. The first section includes at least one fusible section with at least one through-hole and being configured to break when the value of a torque applied to the first portion exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
Gas turbine engine with non-epicyclic gear reduction system
A gas turbine engine comprises a fan drive turbine driving a shaft. The shaft engages a gear reduction. The gear reduction drives a fan rotor at a speed that is less than the speed of the fan drive turbine. The gear reduction is a non-epicyclic gear reduction.
Geared architecture for gas turbine engine
A turbofan engine includes a fan section. A turbine section is in driving engagement with the fan section through a geared architecture. A flexible support supports the geared architecture relative to an engine static structure. A deflection limiter includes at least one of an axially extending branch or a radially extending branch. A flexible output shaft is in driving engagement with the fan section and driven by the geared architecture. A speed change mechanism for a gas turbine engine is also disclosed.

AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE WITH REDUCTION GEARSET
An aircraft turbomachine with a reduction gear has a first shaft and a second shaft having one same axis of rotation, the second shaft being rotationally driven by the first shaft via the reduction gear, the first shaft having elastically deformable means having bellows section(s) and being connected to the reduction gear by a connecting system likewise having elastically deformable means involving a hairpin or bellows section(s).
GEARED TURBOFAN WITH NON-EPICYCLIC GEAR REDUCTION SYSTEM
A gas turbine engine comprises a fan drive turbine driving a shaft. The shaft engages a gear reduction. The gear reduction drives a fan rotor at a speed that is less than the speed of the fan drive turbine. The gear reduction is a non-epicyclic gear reduction.
System for rotating a fan of a turbojet engine
The invention relates to a system for rotating a fan (2) of a turbojet engine (1) about a first rotation axis , including a reduction gear (3) made up of a planetary gearset placed at the centre of the fan (2), which includes: a central sun gear (31); an outer planet gear (33) attached to the fan (2); at least one satellite gear (32) arranged between the central sun gear (31) and the outer planet gear (33) in order to transmit a rotary movement between the central sun gear (31) and the outer planet gear (33); characterised in that the outer planet gear (33) includes an inner portion (33a) which meshes with the satellite gear (32), as well as an outer portion (33b) to which blades (21) of the fan (2) are directly attached.
