WIND FUNNEL AND GAS COMBUSTION TURBINE SYSTEMS INCLUDING COMPRESSION SECTIONS
Wind funnel and gas combustion turbine systems are disclosed. Air travels through a wind funnel where it is compressed, and then flows into a compression section of a gas combustion turbine that is fueled by a hydrocarbon fuel source such as natural gas. Compressed air from the wind funnel may enter the compression section at selected locations. The compression section may have a front relatively low compression section and a downstream relatively higher compression section, and the compressed air from the wind funnel may be selectively delivered to one or both of the lower and higher compression sections. In addition, ambient air may be introduced into the lower compression section. During periods when compressed air from the wind funnel is delivered to the downstream higher compression section, the front lower compression section may be decoupled from the downstream section.
WIND FUNNEL AND GAS COMBUSTION TURBINE SYSTEMS WITH CONTROLLED AIR FEED
Wind funnel and gas combustion turbine systems are disclosed. Air travels through a wind funnel where it is compressed, and then flows into a compression section of a gas turbine that is fueled by a hydrocarbon fuel source such as natural gas. Compressed air from the wind funnel enters the compression section of the gas turbine through one or more air inlets toward multiple rotating turbine blades in an air feed direction having a component normal to air impact surfaces of the turbine blades. In addition to the compressed air from the wind funnel, ambient air may be introduced into the compression section of the gas combustion turbine.

Wind-funneling for gas turbines
Wind-funneling systems for gas turbines are disclosed. Air travels through a wind funnel where it is compressed, and then flows into a gas turbine that is fueled by a hydrocarbon fuel source such as natural gas. The wind funnels have a controlled volume with an opening facing the wind that concentrates air power and energy and directs the force into a constricted outlet that feeds into the gas turbine. Compressed air from the wind funnel may enter the front compressor section of the gas turbine at relatively high density and force. As a result, the gas turbine does not have to use as much energy to pull the air in, which creates fuel savings. The compressed air from the wind funnel then flows to the combustion section of the gas turbine where oxygen from the wind-compressed air is used to combust the hydrocarbon fuel supplied to the gas turbine. The wind funnel is thus used to generate compressed air that may increase efficiency in the front compressor section of the gas turbine, and serves as an oxygen source in the combustion section of the gas turbine.
Nacelle air outlet for aircraft turbojet engine comprising a straightening device for facilitating a reverse thrust phase
Disclosed is an air outlet of a nacelle for an aircraft turbojet engine, the nacelle forming a solid of revolution about a longitudinal axis, the air outlet having a straightening device having a plurality of flaps mounted circumferentially and protruding, each flap being mounted pivoting around a pivot axis, forming, with respect to the longitudinal axis, an angle of convergence in a radial plane, between a closed position, in which each flap extends along the pivot axis in the aerodynamic prolongation of the trailing edge in order to support a thrust phase and a deployed position, in which each flap extends in a deployed plane forming an angle of deployment with respect to the closed position about the pivot axis, so as to support a reverse thrust phase.
Hidden door thrust reverser system for an aircraft propulsion system
A thrust reverser system is provided that includes a sleeve, a fixed cascade structure and a blocker door. The fixed cascade structure is within a cavity of the sleeve when the sleeve is in a sleeve stowed position. The blocker door is within the cavity of the sleeve when the sleeve is in the sleeve stowed position and the blocker door is in a blocker door stowed position. The blocker door projects in a radial inward direction away from the sleeve towards the centerline when the sleeve is in a sleeve deployed position and when the blocker door is in a blocker door deployed position. The blocker door includes a pivot attachment fixed at an end of the blocker door. The pivot attachment is configured to move in a forward direction from a first location to a second location.
HYBRID ARTICULATING / TRANSLATING TRAILING EDGE REVERSER
A thrust reverser for a gas turbine engine may comprise a frame, a first reverser door pivotally mounted to the frame at a first pivot point, a second reverser door pivotally mounted to the frame at a second pivot point, a first nacelle defining a first trailing edge of the gas turbine engine coupled between the frame and the first reverser door, and a second nacelle defining a second trailing edge of the gas turbine engine coupled between the frame and the second reverser door. The first nacelle and the second nacelle translate in an aft and radial outward direction relative to the gas turbine engine in response to the thrust reverser moving to a deployed position.

JET ENGINE COMPRISING A NACELLE EQUIPPED WITH A THRUST REVERSING SYSTEM COMPRISING DOORS
A engine comprising a fan casing and a nacelle, the nacelle comprising a fixed structure and a thrust reversing system having a mobile assembly with a mobile cowl and a frame. The mobile assembly is translationally mobile on the fixed structure between an advanced position and a retracted position to define a window between the secondary jet and the outside of the nacelle. Inner and outer doors are mounted articulated between a stowed position and a deployed position. For each pair of doors, a runner is translationally mobile between a first and a second position. The switching from the stowed position to the deployed position of each door is mechanically associated with the switching of the runner from the first position to the second position and vice versa. For each runner, an actuator ensures the translational displacement of the runner from the first position to the second position.
