A fan assembly for use in a sidewall of an animal house. The fan assembly includes an impeller, a motive force configured to rotate the impeller about a fan assembly axis, and a butterfly shutter. A shutter operation mechanism moves the butterfly doors of the shutter between the closed position and the open position in synchrony with an operating speed of the impeller. The shutter operating mechanism includes pushrods connected to the butterfly doors, and a linkage between the impeller and the second pushrods. The linkage includes at least one weight configured to rotate with the impeller about the fan assembly axis, wherein rotation of the at least one weight causes the linkage to exert a force on the pushrods to push the butterfly doors toward the open position when the impeller is rotating.

The scavenging centrifugal baffle pump further includes a baffle connected to the main pump housing and defines defining an interior volume. The scavenging centrifugal baffle pump also includes a gear coupled to the main pump at least partially located in the interior volume of the baffle, a reservoir defined in the interior volume of the baffle, an inlet defined in the baffle adjacent to the reservoir and an elongate passage defined by the baffle.

An airflow guide or converter may change a direction of the air discharged from the first tower and the second tower by moving a gate inside and outside of at least one of the first or second towers so as to block discharged air flowing forward and selectively facilitate an upward air flow. The airflow converter may include a guide motor to provide a driving force, the gate, which may reciprocate between the inside and the outside of the first and/or second towers; and a board guider connected to the gate to transmit a driving force of the guide motor to the gate as a linear motion force.

A groove portion extending in a circumferential direction is defined in the shroud surface and, in a cross-sectional view taken along an axis of the impeller, the groove portion includes a downstream side wall surface, wherein a distance from the axis of the impeller to the downstream side wall surface increases toward an upstream side from a downstream side end portion of the groove portion, and an upstream side curved surface that is recessed between an upstream end of the downstream side wall surface and an upstream side end portion of the groove portion.

A vacuum pump includes a rotor provided with a plurality of rotor blades and a rotor cylinder portion, a driving portion, a bearing, stator blades, a thread groove stator that is disposed downstream of the stator blades and has an inner peripheral surface facing an outer peripheral surface of the rotor cylinder portion, and a heat insulating wall disposed downstream of the thread groove. The heat insulating wall includes a ring-shaped annular portion, and a substantially cylindrical wall portion extending from an inner portion of the annular portion in the radial direction to the upstream side and forming a flow path on the outer peripheral surface side. A first corner portion is formed between an upstream-side surface of the annular portion and the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion, the first corner portion being formed in an arc shape.

A centrifugal compressor includes: an impeller which is allowed to rotate around an axis; a casing which is provided with a return flow path allowing a fluid pressure-fed from the impeller to flow therein; and a return vane which is disposed inside the return flow path, wherein the return vane is provided with an injection port through which a liquid supplied from the outside is injected to the return flow path. Accordingly, power is further reduced while suppressing pressure loss.

Vacuum pump silencer

A silencer assembly especially designed for attachment to the exhaust port of vacuum pumps and which adapts to the pumps pressure changes to regulate the outlet flow. The silencer features a perforated housing having an inner channel which connects to the discharge port of the vacuum pump and a valve assembly having a spring-loaded ball for dynamically regulating the fluid flow through the perforated housing. Once the pressure of the flow from the pump is high enough to compress a spring by pushing on a rubber ball which acts as a valve, a channel opens inside the silencer and the air can be vented through the radially distributed perforations on the housing. As the air escapes, the noise caused by the flow is reduced.
