Compressor diffuser with plasma actuators
There is disclosed a centrifugal compressor including an impeller rotatable about an axis and a diffuser downstream of the impeller. The diffuser has walls delimiting flow passages. Plasma actuators are positioned adjacent the walls and are operatively connectable to a source of electricity. The plasma actuators have a first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer therebetween. The first electrode is upstream of the second electrode. The first electrode is exposed to the flow passage. The second electrode is shielded from the flow passage by the dielectric layer. The plasma actuators are operable to generate an electric field through the dielectric layer. The plasma actuators are located closer to inlets of the flow passage than to outlets of the flow passages. A method of operating the compressor is disclosed.
MULTISTAGE COMPRESSOR WITH SWIRL-REDUCING RIBS
An illustrative example embodiment of a multistage compressor includes a first compressor stage, a second compressor stage downstream of the first compressor stage, and a motor section between the first compressor stage and the second compressor stage. The motor section includes a housing and a motor within the housing. A space between the motor and the housing establishes a flow path for fluid to flow from the first compressor stage to the second compressor stage. A plurality of ribs within the space have a curvature along at least a portion of a length of the ribs that changes a direction of fluid flow within the space such that the fluid flows downstream of the curvature in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing.
BLOWER APPARATUS AND VACUUM CLEANER
A blower apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a motor including a shaft arranged to extend along a central axis extending in a vertical direction, and a bearing arranged to rotatably support the shaft; an impeller coupled to the shaft on an upper end side of the shaft; an impeller housing arranged to house the impeller, and including an air inlet on an upper side; a plurality of stationary vanes arranged on a lower side of the impeller housing; a cylindrical first ring arranged radially inside of the stationary vanes; and a cylindrical second ring arranged radially outside of the stationary vanes, and fixed to the impeller housing. The stationary vanes, the first ring, and the second ring are defined by a single monolithic member, and together define at least a portion of a stationary vane support portion.
Fan motor
A fan motor for a vacuum cleaner includes a motor mount defining a cooling flow path inlet, an impeller, an impeller cover defining an air inlet, an air discharge opening defined at the motor mount and configured to discharge air to an outer space of the motor mount, and a cooling flow path outlet defined vertically above the motor mount. The cooling flow path inlet is configured to introduce air from the outer space of the motor mount into an inner space of the motor mount to cool the motor part, and the cooling flow path outlet is configured to discharge air from the inner space of the motor mount toward a space that is defined between the impeller and the air discharge opening based on the space between the impeller and the air discharge opening having a lower pressure than the inner space of the motor mount.
Air purifier including bi-directional fans having different discharge directions
The present invention provides an air purifier including a plurality of bi-directional fans, which are arranged to be misaligned in a vertical direction such that the discharge directions of discharge ports are different from each other.
SERVICE ROUTING CONFIGURATION FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE DIFFUSER SYSTEM
Provided is a radial diffuser that includes a housing, a plurality of diffuser vanes, and a plurality of deswirl vanes and at least one vane extension providing a service routing. Each of the vane extensions is disposed after a radial section and may extend into or through a transition and into the deswirl cascade. At least a portion of the vane extensions include a service passage extending therethrough. Each service passage is configured to allow a service conduit to extend therethrough without adversely crossing either a diffusion flow passage or a transition flow passage.
Ceiling fan and impeller blade
A ceiling mounted fan or ceiling fan includes a body defining an interior passage having an inlet and an outlet provided on the body. The inlet, outlet, and interior passage can be annular. An impeller mounted is mounted within the interior passage and driven by a motor mounted within the body to draw a volume of air through the interior passage from the inlet to the outlet. The impeller blades include a set of extensions extending from the tip.
Turbine exhaust structure and gas turbine
In a turbine exhaust structure and a gas turbine, a turbine casing (26) formed in an annular shape to constitute a combustion gas passage A is provided. An exhaust diffuser (31) formed in an annular shape to constitute a flue gas passage (B) is connected to the turbine casing (26) to constitute a configuration. By providing a pressure loss body (61) in the exhaust diffuser (31), efficient pressure recovery can be carried out, which improves turbine efficiency, thereby enabling improvement of the performance.
DIFFUSER PIPE WITH EXIT FLARE
A diffuser pipe has a tubular body defining a pipe center axis extending therethrough. The tubular body includes a first portion extending in a generally radial direction from an inlet of the tubular body, a second portion extending in a generally axial direction and terminating at a pipe outlet, and a bend portion fluidly linking the first portion and the second portion. The tubular body has a length defined between the inlet and the pipe outlet. The tubular body has cross-sectional profiles defined in a plane normal to the pipe center axis. An area of the cross-sectional profile at the pipe outlet is at least 20% greater than an area of the cross-sectional profile at a point upstream from the pipe outlet a distance corresponding to 10% of the length of the tubular body.
Vacuum pump
A vacuum pump includes a rotor provided with a plurality of rotor blades and a rotor cylinder portion, a driving portion, a bearing, stator blades, a thread groove stator that is disposed downstream of the stator blades and has an inner peripheral surface facing an outer peripheral surface of the rotor cylinder portion, and a heat insulating wall disposed downstream of the thread groove. The heat insulating wall includes a ring-shaped annular portion, and a substantially cylindrical wall portion extending from an inner portion of the annular portion in the radial direction to the upstream side and forming a flow path on the outer peripheral surface side. A first corner portion is formed between an upstream-side surface of the annular portion and the outer peripheral surface of the wall portion, the first corner portion being formed in an arc shape.
