A composite platform for a fan of an aircraft turbine engine. The platform includes an elongate wall and is configured to extend between two fan blades. The wall includes an aerodynamic outer surface and an inner surface, on which a fastening tab is located, wherein the fastening tab is configured to be attached to a fan disc. The fastening tab is integrally formed with a metal reinforcement which has a plate having an elongate shape and which extends over more than 50% of the longitudinal extent of the wall, the wall being produced by overmolding a resin on the plate so as to be integrated into the wall.
GUIDE BLADE ARRANGEMENT FOR A TURBOMACHINE
A guide blade arrangement (20) for a turbomachine (1), including a guide blade airfoil (22) and a platform (21). The guide blade airfoil (22) is situated at a side (21.1) of the platform (21) facing the gas channel, an opposite side (21.2) of the platform (21) facing away from the gas channel being contoured at least in one area (30.1, 30.2) with elevations (25) and depressions (26) that follow one another in the circumferential direction (23) in relation to a longitudinal axis (2) of the turbomachine (1), and the elevations (25) and depressions (26) at the side (21.2) facing away from the gas channel being set via a platform thickness (31), taken radially in each case, that is variable in the circumferential direction (23) and that repeatedly increases and decreases with a continuous profile.
PARTICLE EXTRACTION SYSTEM FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A gas turbine engine includes an engine core includes at least one compressor, a combustor downstream of the compressor, and at least one turbine downstream of the combustor. A primary flowpath fluidly connects each of the compressor, the combustor, and the turbine. At least one particle extraction duct has an extraction duct inlet connected to the primary flowpath fore of the compressor and an extraction duct outlet connected to a bypass flowpath.

DIFFUSER PIPE WITH EXIT FLARE
A diffuser pipe has a tubular body defining a pipe center axis extending therethrough. The tubular body includes a first portion extending in a generally radial direction from an inlet of the tubular body, a second portion extending in a generally axial direction and terminating at a pipe outlet, and a bend portion fluidly linking the first portion and the second portion. The tubular body has a length defined between the inlet and the pipe outlet. The tubular body has cross-sectional profiles defined in a plane normal to the pipe center axis. An area of the cross-sectional profile at the pipe outlet is at least 20% greater than an area of the cross-sectional profile at a point upstream from the pipe outlet a distance corresponding to 10% of the length of the tubular body.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR IMPELLER WITH NONLINEAR BACKWALL
A centrifugal compressor impeller includes a plurality of blades on a front side that extend from a first axial side to an outer radial end of the impeller. The centrifugal impeller includes a back side having a nonlinear backwall. The backwall can include a flat area hear a bore of impeller, a flat area near a tip of the impeller, and a convex surface between the flat areas of the bore and the tip. In some forms the impeller further includes a concave surface between the convex surface and the tip to form an s-shape. A transition or inflection point can denote the change from convex to concave. The convex and/or concave surfaces can take any variety of forms such as constant radius sections and/or compound curves.
TORROIDAL SPINNER AFT FLANGE
A spinner for a gas turbine engine may include a substantially-flat inner surface having frustoconical geometry. A flange having semi-torroidal geometry may extend from the spinner with an inner curved surface of the flange being tangential to the inner surface. A mating portion may extend substantially tangentially from the inner curved surface of the flange and configured for fastening to a fan hub.
Ducted fan assembly with curved stators
A ducted fan assembly has a central axis, a duct having an outer wall and an inner wall, a fan hub at least partially disposed on the central axis, a plurality of fan blades coupled to the fan hub, and a first stator. The first stator has a first end coupled to the inner wall, a second end coupled to the inner wall, and a hub interface disposed between the first end and the second end, wherein the hub interface is coupled to the fan hub.
Low flow spirometer turbine
A spirometer turbine assembly is described, having a housing with a proximal end opening, a distal end opening and an airflow channel therebetween. A first flow director has a first plurality of flow director blades with distal edges that curve in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the airflow channel, and a vane is connected to an axel positioned distal to the first flow director.
