The impingement sleeve includes a column of ports extending from an outer surface of the impingement sleeve, wherein each port of the column of ports is configured to direct an impingement stream toward a heated structure, and each impingement stream includes a portion of the cooling flow. Further, one or more pins are disposed outside the outer surface relative to the cooling flow, wherein each pin of the one or more pins is coupled between pairs of ports of the column of ports.
CHEVRON TRIP STRIP
A blade outer air seal segment assembly includes a blade outer air seal segment configured to connect with an adjacent blade outer air seal segment to form part of a rotor shroud. A cooling channel is disposed in the first turbine blade outer air seal segment. The cooling channel extends at least partially between a first circumferential end portion and a second circumferential end portion. At least one inlet aperture provides a cooling airflow to the cooling channel. A series of trip strips in the cooling channel cause turbulence in the cooling airflow. The trip strips include at least one chevron-shaped trip strip having a first and second leg joined at an apex arranged adjacent the inlet aperture. The trip strips also include at least one trip strip having a single skewed line.
IMPINGEMENT PLATE WITH COOLING TUBES AND RELATED INSERT FOR IMPINGEMENT PLATE

METHOD FOR UPGRADING A GAS TURBINE AND GAS TURBINE
A method for upgrading a gas turbine, the method includes: a) removing all guide vanes of the first guide vane stage; b) replacing the removed guide vanes of the first guide vane stage with new or reconditioned guide vanes, wherein blade platforms of the new or reconditioned guide vanes are provided with cooling air bores which fluidically connect a cooling air supply duct to the annular gap and open into the annular gap, and wherein the cooling air bores are arranged in such a manner that more cooling air bores open into regions of an annular gap that are arranged radially inwards from leading edges of the guide vanes than in other regions of the annular gap.
Additively manufactured heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for cooling a component is coupled with a cowl at least partially surrounding the component. The cowl defines a cowl plenum and a peripheral gap for receiving the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a housing defining a heat exchange plenum for receiving a cool fluid stream and a plurality of heat exchange tubes passing through the heat exchange plenum for receiving a hot fluid stream. A discharge manifold defines a discharge plenum that provides fluid communication between the heat exchange plenum and the cowl plenum through a fluid outlet. In addition, an impingement baffle at least partially defines the discharge manifold and defines a plurality of cooling holes for impinging cooling air on the component proximate the heat exchanger.
TURBINE VANE AND GAS TURBINE COMPRISING SAME
A turbine vane includes a blade body and a shroud. The shroud includes a gas path surface, a front end surface, a front end corner portion which is a corner portion between the gas path surface and the front end surface, a cavity defining surface which defines a cavity allowing cooling air to flow thereinto, a first air passage in which the cooling air flows, and a second air passage in which the cooling air flows. The first air passage includes a first inlet opened at the cavity defining surface and a first outlet opened at the front end corner portion. The second air passage includes a second inlet opened at the cavity defining surface and a second outlet opened at the front end surface.
Blade outer air seal with inward-facing dovetail hooks and backside cooling
