FLANGE FASTENING STRUCTURE
In a flange fastening structure, a turbocharger includes a wastegate decentered from a center of a first flange that surrounds an outlet opening of the turbocharger. A bolt of a V-band that fastens the first flange on the turbocharger to a second flange on an exhaust passage member is disposed in a first region. The first region is a region composed of two sector-shaped regions each having a central angle of 90 degrees from a straight line from the center through a point that is on the first flange and that is closest to a maximum opening portion of the wastegate toward a corresponding side in a circumferential direction.
TURBOCHARGER
A turbocharge includes: a compressor wheel; a turbine wheel configured to rotate with the compressor wheel; a turbine housing disposed so as to cover the turbine wheel; a bearing supporting a rotational shaft of the turbine wheel rotatably; and a bearing housing accommodating the bearing. One of the turbine housing or the bearing housing includes a fin portion protruding toward the other one of the turbine housing or the bearing housing so as to extend along an axial direction of the rotational shaft, and, between the turbine housing and the bearing housing, a cavity is formed on each side of the fin portion with respect to a radial direction of the rotational shaft.
ASSEMBLY FOR ATTACHING A NOZZLE TO A STRUCTURAL ELEMENT OF A TURBINE ENGINE
The present invention relates to an assembly (10) comprising: an annular nozzle (4) of a turbine of a turbine engine, a structural annular element (6) of the turbine engine, the nozzle (4) and the structural annular element (6) each comprising a radial flange (16, 18), the flanges being applied axially onto one another, and at least one member (12) for axially retaining the flange (16) of the nozzle (4) with the flange (18) of the structural annular element (6), with the member being applied to one of the flanges and being able to axially retain the two flanges one on top of the other.
TURBOCHARGER
A turbocharger includes a gripping unit gripping a turbine-housing side flange portion and a bearing-housing side flange portion to couple a turbine housing and a bearing housing. In a state where the turbine housing and the bearing housing are coupled by the gripping unit, an elastic force in a direction to separate the turbine-housing side flange portion and the bearing-housing side flange portion from each other is applied to each of the turbine housing and the bearing housing.
ROTARY MACHINE
A rotary machine include: a rotational shaft; an impeller mounted to the rotational shaft; an impeller housing accommodating the impeller; a bearing housing accommodating a bearing which supports the rotational shaft rotatably, the bearing housing being fastened to the impeller housing; and a fastening member fastening the impeller housing and the bearing housing in an axial direction of the rotational shaft. The impeller housing, the bearing housing, and the fastening member each includes a contact surface in a direction intersection with an axial direction of the rotational shaft. A thin-plate member formed separately from the impeller housing, the bearing housing, and the fastening member is interposed between at least two of the contact surfaces.
Radial turbine nozzle and method for assembling the same
In a radial turbine nozzle and its assembling method, a first flange member of a first divided annular portion is inserted into a first outer side groove of a first ring. A second flange member of a second divided annular portion is inserted into a second outer side groove of a second ring. A plurality of segments are connected together in a circumferential direction, by overlapping first divided surfaces of two of the segments that are adjacent in a circumferential direction of a radial turbine, and overlapping second divided surfaces of the two of the segments.
TURBOCHARGER
A turbocharger (10A) has a back plate (41). The back plate (41) is provided with a plate section (41a) and a flange section (41c) which is formed radially outside the plate section (41a) and which is supported so as to be sandwiched between a bearing housing (16) and a turbine housing (31). The turbocharger (10A) is further provided with a flange heat shielding section (53) provided between the flange section (41c) and the bearing housing (16) and consisting of a material having lower heat conductivity than the turbine housing (31) and the back plate (41).
Engine and band clamp
A turbofan engine having a fan, a fan casing surrounding the fan and having a first radial flange, a thrust reverser having a second radial flange, and a band clamp coupling the first and second radial flanges to connect the thrust reverser and the fan casing. The band clamp may be a segmented band clamp.
Structural guide vane circumferential load bearing shear pin
A turbofan engine structural guide vane is mounted to a forward bulkhead of a core engine case structure at an inner end and to a fan case at an outer end. A plurality of shear pins extend from the aft portion of the structural guide vane into a corresponding plurality of openings defined in the bulkhead for bearing circumferential loads.
Turbocharger systems with direct turbine interfaces
Turbine assemblies and related turbocharger systems having direct turbine interfaces are provided. One exemplary turbine assembly includes a first turbine housing having an outlet portion defining a fluid outlet of a first turbine and a second turbine housing having an inlet portion defining a fluid inlet of a second turbine, wherein at least a portion of the outlet portion radially surrounds at least a portion of the inlet portion to provide a direct interface from the fluid outlet of the first turbine to the fluid inlet of the second turbine in an axial direction.
