Translating cowl thrust reverser primary lock system
A primary lock system for a translating cowl thrust reverser system includes a primary lock having a housing, a lock, and a manual mechanism. The lock is disposed at least partially within, and is movable relative to, the housing and is movable between a lock position and an unlock position. The manual mechanism is coupled to the lock and is configured, in response to a manual input force supplied to the manual mechanism, to: selectively move from a first position to a second position, whereby the lock is selectively moved from the lock position to the unlock position, respectively, and selectively prevent movement of the lock out of the lock position.
THRUST REVERSER COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE INITIATOR TO INITIATE THE CLOSING OF A MOBILE EXTERNAL STRUCTURE OF THIS REVERSER
A thrust reverser for an aircraft propulsion unit, this reverser including a fixed structure and a mobile external structure able to move between a closed position and an open position so as to cause the reverser to transition respectively between a direct-jet configuration and a reverse-jet configuration. The reverser includes, on the one hand, one or more actuators configured to move the mobile external structure between the closed position and the open position. The reverser includes, on the other hand, at least one initiator configured to apply to the mobile external structure a force that initiates a closure travel in which the mobile external structure is moved from the open position towards the closed position.
Bearing preload using external gearbox reaction
A method of operating a gas turbine engine in a multi-engine aircraft, the gas turbine engine having an engine shaft mounted for rotation in a bearing and a gearbox connected to the engine shaft for torque transmission therebetween, includes axially preloading the bearing using an axially biasing element disposed between the gas turbine engine and the gearbox. The axially biasing element reacts against the gearbox to exert an axial preload force on the bearing and the engine shaft of the gas turbine engine.
CONFLUENCE STRUCTURE OF A PRIMARY STREAM AND A SECONDARY STREAM IN A BYPASS TURBINE ENGINE
A confluence structure of an aircraft bypass turbine engine which includes a confluence plate with a downstream end supported by a portion that is movable in the direction of the axis by a control mechanism which can optionally be adjusted in flight. A mobile portion of a sleeve delimiting the secondary stream on the outside, and an inner projection of the outer casing can also slide axially in certain embodiments. This provides a wide range of options for modifying the gas dilution and operating conditions of the engine.
Keystoned blade track
A blade track for a gas turbine engine includes a plurality of blade track segments. The blade track segments are arranged circumferentially around a central axis to form the blade track.
Thrust reverser for an aircraft engine nacelle, comprising a panel for avoiding a movable slat of the wing, and nacelle associated therewith
A thrust reverser for a nacelle of an aircraft engine includes a movable cowl movable between a closed position in which thrust is not reversed and an open position for uncovering cascades reversing that reverse the direction of the cold air flow diverted from the annular secondary air flow path. The movable cowl includes a radially outer portion disposed proximate a leading edge of an aircraft wing and at least one avoidance panel on the radially outer portion designed to inhibit interference with a movable slat of the leading edge of the aircraft wing. The avoidance panel is pivotally mounted with respect to a fixed structure of the thrust reverser. At least one energy storing device constrains the avoidance panel to bear against the movable cowl, at least when the thrust reverser is in the closed position.
Valve device for a turbine of an exhaust gas turbocharger, and turbine for an exhaust gas turbocharger
A valve device for a turbine of an exhaust gas turbocharger includes a valve element for at least partial fluidic shutting of a bypass line via which a turbine wheel of the turbine can be bypassed by exhaust gas. The valve device also has an actuating arm which is coupled in an articulated manner to the valve element and via which the valve element can be pivoted and has at least one spring element via which the valve element is supported on the actuating arm. The valve element has at least one uneven supporting surface via which the spring element is supported on the valve element.
Sealing assembly for components penetrating through CMC liner
Combustion sections and sealing systems for fuel ignition assemblies of gas turbine engine combustion sections are provided. For example, a sealing system comprises a ferrule positioned on an outer surface of a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) combustor liner an aperture defined in the CMC liner; a sleeve positioned within an adapter of the fuel ignition assembly such that an inner end portion of the sleeve is in contact with the ferrule, the sleeve having an end wall that forms an inner boundary of a cavity defined by the sleeve; and a biasing member positioned within the cavity. The biasing member extends between a bushing and the end wall of the sleeve. The biasing member continuously urges the sleeve into contact with the ferrule to seal the aperture against fluid leakage therethrough. The exemplary sealing system may be part of a fuel ignition assembly of a gas turbine engine combustion section.
Turbine shroud segment with side perimeter seal
A turbine shroud segment of a turbine shroud for use in a turbine of a gas turbine engine is disclosed herein. The turbine shroud segment includes a carrier segment and a blade track segment. The carrier segment includes metallic materials. The blade track segment includes ceramic matrix composite materials. A seal is arranged between the carrier segment and the blade track segment.
Retention device for a cooling tube for a turbomachine casing
A retention device for at least one cooling tube of a cooling system of a turbomachine casing, the casing extending around an axial direction of the turbomachine, the retention device includes a fixing plate suited to being made integral with the casing and a retention element for the cooling tube. The retention device includes an adjustment system configured to adjust the relative position of the retention element with respect to the fixing plate and to absorb a relative movement between the retention element and the fixing plate.
