Systems and Methods for Controlling Liquid Flow to a Turbine Fogging Array
Methods and apparatus for controlling liquid flow to a turbine fogging array. Some implementations are generally directed toward adjusting the output of a variable output pump that supplies water to the turbine fogging array. In some of those implementations, the output is adjusted based on a determined target pump output value that is indicative of a pump output required to change the moisture content of intake air of a combustion turbine to meet a target humidity value. Some implementations are generally directed toward actuating at least one control valve of a plurality of control valves that control liquid throughput to one or more fogging nozzles of a fogging array.
Method of running an air inlet system
The present embodiments disclose a method of running an air inlet system upstream of one or more inlet air filters of a device protected by air filtration, wherein the method comprises: regulating the relative air humidity of the inlet air at the one or more inlet air filters in dependence of the inlet air filters differential pressure.
Reducing the load consumed by gas turbine compressor and maximizing turbine mass flow
The invention is applicable to industrial gas turbines to reduce the load consumed by the gas turbine compressor and to maximize the turbine mass flow.
System for reducing inlet air temperature of a device
The present embodiments disclose a system for reducing inlet air temperature of a device, including: an air inlet, a fogging system that provides air cooling, wherein the fogging system includes at least one low pressure rotary atomiser working at a pressure that is, for example, between 0.5 and 6 bar, and one or more air filters.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INCREASING POWER OUTPUT IN A WASTE HEAT DRIVEN AIR BRAYTON CYCLE TURBOCHARGER SYSTEM
Various systems and methods are provided for a turbocharger system. In one example, a system for use with a power generator having a rotary machine including a combustor comprises: a heat exchanger positioned to receive exhaust gases from the combustor; and a turbocharger system, comprising: a low pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and adapted to supply gases to the heat exchanger; a low pressure turbine and a high pressure turbine each fluidly coupled to the heat exchanger and adapted to receive gases from the heat exchanger; a high pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the rotary machine and the low pressure compressor, adapted to receive gases from the low pressure compressor and supply compressed air to the rotary machine; and a water injector adapted to inject water into a flow path between the low pressure compressor and the heat exchanger.
FLUID INJECTION SYSTEMS FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINES
A fluid injection system for a gas turbine engine may comprise a fluid injector configured to inject a fluid into an exhaust flow exiting a turbine section of the gas turbine engine. The fluid injector may be coupled to a turbine exit guide vane located at a forward end of an exhaust system of the gas turbine engine. The fluid may decrease a temperature of the exhaust flow exiting the turbine section and/or increase a thrust of the gas turbine engine.
STEAM TURBINE SYSTEM AND COMBINED CYCLE PLANT
A steam turbine system (200) includes a steam turbine (60) in which a main flow path (C) through which a main steam flows is formed, and a saturated steam generation portion (210) that is configured to generate a saturated steam. The saturated steam generation portion (210) is configured to feed the saturated steam into a wet region (C1) in which the main steam in the main flow path (C) is in a wet state via a hollow portion formed inside a stator vane (650) of the steam turbine (60). The stator vane (650) has a plurality of supply ports that are formed such that the hollow portion is configured to communicate with the main flow path (C), and a discharge amount of the saturated steam increases from an inner circumferential side toward an outer circumferential side in a blade height direction.
CONTROL OF COMBUSTION SOURCE WITH AT LEAST ONE POLLUTION CONTROL DEVICE
Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for emissions control. An emissions monitor module measures at least one pollutant level for an exhaust gas flow produced by a combustion source and treated by a pollution control device. The at least one pollutant level may be controllable based on at least one combustion source operating parameter and at least one pollution control device operating parameter. A control module controls the at least one combustion source operating parameter and the at least one pollution control device operating parameter based on the at least one measured pollutant level.

Stationary blades for a steam turbine and method of assembling same
A set of stationary blades for a steam turbine is provided. At least one of the stationary blades includes a suction side and an opposite pressure side, and a plurality of ejection channels defined in the at least one stationary blade. Each of the plurality of ejection channels extends through an outer surface of the pressure side, and each of the plurality of ejection channels is coupled in flow communication to a blade inlet aperture.
