METHOD OF FORMING SPRAYED COATING, HIGH-TEMPERATURE COMPONENT FOR TURBINE, TURBINE, MASKING PIN FOR FORMING SPRAYED COATING, AND MASKING MEMBER

A method of forming a sprayed coating includes preparing a spray target member having a surface on which openings of first ends of holes are formed, preparing a plurality of masking pins each of which comprises metal, and inserting each of the masking pins into a corresponding one of the holes so that each of the masking pins partially protrudes from the surface. The method also includes applying an adhesive agent for fixing the masking pins to the respective holes, to at least one of the holes or the masking pins, forming a ceramic layer by spraying on the surface of the spraying target member, the ceramic layer comprising a ceramic material, while the masking pins are fixed to the respective holes via the adhesive agent, and removing the masking pins from the holes after the spraying step.

Rotor assembly for gas turbine

The present invention relates to a rotor assembly for a rotary machine such as a gas turbine. The present solution provides a sealing wire located inside a groove engraved in the rotor body. The sealing wire is responsive to radial centrifugal forces acting during normal operation of the machine, and moves radially in the groove until a sealing configuration is achieved such to prevent damaging hot leakage towards machine components.

COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTED FLOATING SUBMERSIBLE WATER SUPPLY PUMP
20170268522 · 2017-09-21 · ·

The disclosure describes the improvement of mobile floating submersible pump systems where such systems are used for rapid deployment water transfer. Such systems are deployed within industrial fire fighting, flood control operations (FIG. 7) and similar water transfer requirements. A floating submersible pump is designed to separate the power system (FIG. 7, item 11), such as a diesel engine, from the pump body (FIG. 7, item 16), which further enables the operator to deploy a pumping system where traditional ground based centrifugal pumps are unable to physically siphon the water. Floating submersible pump systems are cumbersome in nature, requiring heavy equipment and significant manpower to deploy them. The innovation disclosed uses advancements in structural fiber reinforced materials to drastically reduce the weight of such systems, which removes the need for heavy deployment equipment, with the added benefit of corrosion protection from saline environments through the use of chemically inert composites.

VACUUM PUMP AND PROTECTION MEMBER PROVIDED IN VACUUM PUMP
20220235777 · 2022-07-28 ·

A vacuum pump in which a spark is not generated even when a rotor component and a stator component are brought into contact, and an explosive reaction in a vacuum container can be prevented, and a protection portion provided in the vacuum pump are provided. On head part sides of a thread ridge to a thread ridge of a threaded spacer with a narrow clearance of a gas channel therebetween, a protection portion 1a to a protection portion made of non-metal are formed in a peripheral state.
