Each of the dual-sided playing pieces has a first face comprising an indicia selected from a plurality of indicia and a second face, opposite the first face, comprising another indicia selected from the plurality of indicia. Each die comprises a number of facets corresponding to the number of indicia in the plurality of indicia. The stock tray is configured to hold a predetermined number of the dual-sided playing pieces that are available for play. Each of the at least two collector trays are configured to hold a predetermined number of the dual-sided playing pieces that are no longer available for play.
Electromagnetic game board
An electromagnetic game board includes a configurable grid of electromagnets under a game board to move game pieces on the board. Alternative to electromagnets is acoustic levitation through soundwave. In an oscillating electric field (four sides), a magnet can create excite ultrasound that quickly contract and rebound its original shape to push out pulses of air.
GAMING UNIT
Disclosed is a gaming unit for a gaming system, the gaming system comprising the gaming unit and a plurality of playing pieces, each playing piece of the plurality of playing pieces comprising a magnet and having an identifier. The gaming unit comprises: a play zone for arranging one or more playing pieces of the plurality of playing pieces on the gaming unit; a control unit; and a first magnetic unit configured to generate or alter a magnetic field for magnetically affecting one or more playing pieces arranged in the play zone. The first magnetic unit being operationally connected to the control unit. The control unit is configured to detect the identifier of a playing piece arranged in the play zone and responsive to the detection of one more particular identifiers generate a control signal controlling the first magnetic unit to generate or alter a magnetic field thereby magnetically affecting one or more playing pieces in the play zone.
Board game with levitating magnetic game pieces in a race
The game consists of a planar game board (10), a series of vertically extended pegs (18) along a track, and magnetic game pieces (20) that freely slide down pegs (18). Each player selects a plurality of game pieces (20) of one color to differentiate from other players' game pieces (20). The object of the game is to be the first player to move all of his game pieces (20) from start (14) to finish (16). Players, in turn, roll dice, a chance device, and move game pieces (20) as indicated. Players' magnetic game pieces (20) interact in exciting and unexpected ways. A game piece (20) landing on a peg (18) above another game piece (20) will either attract and capture, or repel and levitate, depending on their relative magnetic orientations, another element of chance. When a game piece lands on particular pegs (18) or spaces (12), the player draws a random card, another element of chance, which directs surprise moves such as forward, backward or flipping.
Portable game device
A portable game device for use when playing a game according to game rules, said game device comprising a kaleidocycle comprising a plurality of n-gon bodies hingedly joined to form a ring of said n-gon bodies wherein a plurality of said n-gon bodies each comprise a surface member provided with game graphics related to said game rules.
Board game/chess game
Board game (1) with a board (2) having at least one playing surface (3) comprising multiple playing fields (4) and with playing pieces (5) and at least one holding device (6) for holding a playing piece (5) releasably attached to the playing field (4), with the board (2) being arranged such that the orientation of the playing surface (3) deviates from a horizontal orientation, wherein a rotating device (7) is provided for holding the playing piece (5) in a same vertical orientation for any rotation of the board (2) about an imaginary axis (A) substantially orthogonally to the playing surface (3).
WORD BOARD GAME APPARATUS AND METHOD
A game apparatus and method comprising a case, cubes, and tiles. The method includes placing or removing tiles on or from said cubes, and then manipulating handles or knobs on said case to transform a row or column of cubes and the associated tiles. During the course of game play, a matrix of visible active tiles is dynamically manipulated by users to achieve game goals. Game play incorporates elements of luck in drawing tiles, deterministic transformation of cubes, and memory and strategy of users.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR GAME PLAY
Players attempt to be the first person to move from the start of the board puzzle piece to the end of board. The game is played in at least three phases, with each phase utilizing different game pieces. Phase one consists of creating a puzzle pattern by placing background puzzle pieces on the puzzle game board and connecting background puzzle pieces already on the board. Phase two consists of placing color overlay puzzle pieces on top of the background puzzle pieces that make up the puzzle pattern. Phase three is accomplished by each player selecting a playing card and then either strategically migrating their creature by moving contiguously between the creature spots or by jumping from a color overlay creature spot to a different color overlay creature spot, as described on the playing card selected. The game ends when a player moves off the end of board.
Portable Game Board
Provided herein are various types of foldable game boards and foldable objects which include a plurality of elongated base panels each of which has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a side panel oriented perpendicularly on each end. The inner surface is capable securely holding game pieces when in an open configuration. The game boards and objects described herein can be folded to a closed configuration to form a hollow polygonal prism. This configuration gives rise to a space for the storage of pieces on the inner surface of the elongated base panels during closed configuration and includes magnetic plates underneath for the purpose of holding pieces in place to save the game state at any point.
