SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
20200060066 · 2020-02-27 ·

A system for remotely controlling hydraulic component of an agricultural implement towed by a work vehicle may include a vehicle-based valve assembly that selectively supplies hydraulic fluid to one or more supply lines of the implement. Specifically, a first supply line may be fluidly coupled to an implement-based valve assembly that regulates the supply of hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic actuator through a first actuator line. A second supply line may be fluidly coupled to the first actuator line downstream of the implement-based valve assembly such that when a user provides a control input at a remote interface, the vehicle-based valve assembly may instead regulate the supply of hydraulic fluid to the actuator. The supply of the hydraulic fluid through the supply lines may additionally be controlled by first and second override valves fluidly coupled to the first and second supply lines, respectively.

Method for operating a hydraulic consumer on an electrically actuated control valve
20200025193 · 2020-01-23 ·

A method for operating a hydraulic consumer on an electrically actuated control valve includes providing the valve with an open valve position for establishing a connection between a valve inlet and a pilot line for influencing a pivot angle set on an axial piston pump and a system pressure which is present at the valve inlet and dependent on the pivot angle. Data regarding the current system pressure and the current pivot angle are detected and communicated to a control unit. The method includes determining an incorrect setting of the control valve if the control unit detects that a delivery volume flow of the axial piston pump is smaller than a value to be expected based on valve position, or the control unit detects that the system pressure present at the valve inlet is at a maximum without a delivery volume flow flowing in the direction of the hydraulic consumer.

A controller for controlling a pneumatic or hydraulic actuator of a process device includes a position feedback signal input for receiving a measured position signal representing a position of the actuator or the process device, an actuator pressure output, and a pressure sensor for measuring the actuator pressure. The controller is configured to operate in a measured position feedback mode and a simulated position feedback mode. In the measured position feedback mode the actuator is controlled dependent on a setpoint position and the measured position, and in the simulated position feedback mode the actuator is controller based on the setpoint position and a simulated position of the actuator or the process device. The simulated position is derived from the measured actuator pressure by a simulation model.
