ACCUMULATOR
An accumulator is provided with a communication passage which allows communication between a space inside a gas filling opening and a gas filled chamber in a state where a diaphragm contacts an opening peripheral edge of the gas filling opening and which is formed by, for example, uneven shapes provided in either or both of the diaphragm or/and the opening peripheral edge of the gas filling opening.
ACCUMULATOR
An accumulator includes a pressure vessel and a partition portion separating an interior space of the pressure vessel into a liquid chamber and a gas chamber so that a volume ratio between the liquid chamber and the gas chamber in the pressure vessel is variable. The pressure vessel includes a first section including a thread portion for fastening the accumulator to a support member and a second section joined to the first section and formed by a single piece including a tool engagement portion capable of engaging with a tool for rotating the accumulator. The first section and the second section are fitted together by mating portions coaxial with the thread portion and the tool engagement portion.
ACCUMULATOR
An accumulator includes a pressure vessel including a first section and a second section joined to each other via a joint portion and a partition portion separating an interior space of the pressure vessel into a liquid chamber and a gas chamber so that a volume ratio between the liquid chamber and the gas chamber in the pressure vessel is variable. The first section includes a thread portion for fastening the accumulator to a support member. The second section includes an abutting portion disposed opposite to the thread portion across the joint portion in an axial direction of the thread portion and configured to abut on the support member when the accumulator is fastened to the support member.
Adapter for mounting a cylinder for a fluid powered linear actuator to a fluid channel
An adapter is used to mount the cylinder to a fluid channel. The adapter is formed of a unitary wall including a first portion adapted to mount to the fluid channel, a second portion adapted to be engaged with a tool extending from the first portion, and a third portion extending from the second portion and seated within an inlet passageway of the cylinder. The third portion includes locking features for locking the adapter to the cylinder, and a sealing feature for sealing the adapter to the cylinder. The sealing feature is distal to the second portion such that when a torque is applied to the adapter, the sealing feature does not cause the adapter to shear. The cylinder and fluid channel may be capable of being swiveled relative to each other around the adapter, such swiveling may be up to 360 degrees and may be 360 degrees.
Hydraulic Accumulator
The disclosure relates to an hydraulic accumulator, in particular a diaphragm accumulator, having an accumulator housing and a separating element disposed therein, which separates two media spaces from each other, wherein a weld seam is formed by a laser or electron beam welding process without any filler materials, in that at least a part of the wall parts delimiting the transition point are melted to form the weld seam, which closes off the transition point towards the surroundings, in a manner that is free of protrusions with respect to an outer circumferential surface of a connection element.
Method of charging a bellows accumulator
A method of charging a bellows accumulator for a vehicle suspension system comprises providing an outer shell with an accumulator port and a gas charging port, and inserting a bellows assembly within the outer shell. The bellows assembly includes an annular bellows wall at least partially defining a gas chamber of variable volume. The bellows assembly is axially extendable between a retracted position and a fully extended position. The gas chamber is arranged in fluid communication with the gas charging port. An accumulation chamber is provided between the outer shell and the bellows assembly and is in fluid communication with the accumulator port. The method further includes evacuating the accumulation chamber when the bellows assembly is not at the fully extended position to obtain a pressure within the accumulation chamber less than atmospheric pressure and supplying pressurized gas to the gas charging port.
Metallic liner pressure vessel comprising polar boss
The present invention provides a Type 3 pressure vessel comprising a polar boss that is attached to a metallic liner and provides reinforced static strength, fatigue strength, endurance, chemical resistance and/or corrosion resistance of the liner orifice or neck region. In particular, the material of the polar boss has higher static strength, fatigue strength, endurance, chemical resistance and/or corrosion resistance relative to that of the liner material.
Hydraulic Accumulator
The disclosure relates to a hydraulic accumulator, in particular in the form of a piston-type accumulator, having a separating element which is arranged in an accumulator housing and fluid-tightly separates two fluid chambers, in particular a closed accumulator chamber comprising a working gas and a liquid chamber comprising an operating liquid such as hydraulic oil, from one another, wherein a fluid port is fluidically connected to one of the fluid chambers. The hydraulic accumulator is characterised in that the fluid port has a magnetic-field-generating device which is received in a fixed position in the fluid port and separates magnetizable particles out of the fluid passing through the fluid port, to purify said fluid.
MANUFACTURING METHOD AND EXTERIOR BODY OF ACCUMULATOR
A manufacturing method for manufacturing an exterior body of an accumulator including a bottom, a shell, and a port, includes: press fitting the bottom into the shell; and melting and solidifying a region including a part of a connection portion between the bottom and the shell which has been press fitted.
Bellows accumulator fixation apparatus for suspension dampers
An accumulator for a vehicle suspension damper, which includes an outer shell with an open end that connects to an accumulator port on the damper and a distal end, opposite the open end, which includes an end wall that extends radially inward to a gas charging port. A bellows assembly, which includes an annular bellows wall extending between proximal and distal plates, is positioned inside the outer shell to define a pressurized gas chamber inside the accumulator that is arranged in fluid communication with the gas charging port. The gas charging port includes a stem that extends inwardly from the end wall of the outer shell and the distal plate of the bellows assembly has an inner diameter that is received on the stem. The inner diameter of the distal plate is coupled to the stem of the gas charging port by a fixation component.
