Pressure booster and cylinder apparatus provided with same
A pressure booster constituting a cylinder apparatus is provided with a first piston and a second piston that are coupled to each other by a rod. A connection member provided to the second piston is configured so as to be displaceable from a connection position to a blocking position as a result of the connection member making contact with a cylinder body when the second piston is displaced in a direction where a boosting chamber contracts, and so as to be displaceable from the blocking position to the connection position as a result of the connection member making contact with the cylinder body when the second piston is displaced in a direction where the boosting chamber expands.
ACTUATORS FOR POWER TOOL SAFETY SYSTEMS
Fast-acting and low-inertia actuators useable in various applications where a high force must be applied very quickly are disclosed. Power tools with detection systems configured to detect a dangerous condition between a person and a cutting tool are disclosed. In power tools, for example in a woodworking machine, a fast-acting and low-inertial actuator as disclosed herein can be used to retract a blade upon detection of a dangerous condition by a detection system. The actuator includes a charge of pressurized fluid and one or more electromagnets to selectively retain or release the pressurized fluid.
SUBSEA HYDRAULIC PRESSURE BOOSTING AND REGULATING SYSTEM
A hydraulic boosting and regulating system includes an intensifier circuit and a regulator and employs low leak, low crossover valves.
PNEUMATIC ACTUATOR AND PORTABLE TOOL
A pneumatic actuator (240), comprising: a pressure reducer (270) for delivering gas under a reduced pressure to a control valve; the control valve (280) selectively supplying gas to a pneumatic cylinder (290) or discharging gas from the cylinder (290) to the environment; a replaceable gas capsule (260) for supplying the gas under increased pressure; where the actuator has a first mode of operation for moving the piston (293) to the extended position, and has a second mode of operation for retracting the piston (293). A method for assembling a pneumatic actuator. A portable tool, a clamping device, a screw clamp comprising such a pneumatic actuator. A method for assembling the screw clamp. A method for repairing the screw clamp.

THERMAL HYDRAULIC PROPULSION SYSTEM
A hydraulic propulsion system converts heat or thermal energy into hydraulic energy, and such hydraulic energy into mechanical work. The hydraulic propulsion system includes a thermal unit, a hydraulic cylinder with pistons and springs mounted therein, one or more hydraulic motors, one or more hydraulic accumulators, and one or more electrical energy generators, as well as a plurality of flow control valves to control the flow of hydraulic fluid between the various components. The hydraulic propulsion system may be enhanced by an energy transmission unit including a wave generator.
Air Pressure System
There is provided an air pressure system for controlling an air compressor in real time in accordance with the actual usage of compressed air by a plurality of terminals. Furthermore, in case pressure losses change abruptly, unwanted electric power is prevented from being consumed by a stable operation free of response delays on the basis of a predicted model that assesses time lags of volume responses. There is provided an air pressure system for supplying compressed air discharged from an air compressor through an air tank and a piping system to a plurality of terminals that consume the compressed air, including a compressor pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of compressed air discharged from the air compressor, a plurality of terminal pressure sensors for measuring the pressures of compressed air supplied respectively to the terminals, a flow rate difference calculating device for calculating deviation information on the basis of a capacity of the air tank, information on the piping system, the pressure of compressed air discharged from the air compressor, and the pressures of compressed air supplied respectively to the terminals, and a control device for controlling operation of the air compressor on the basis of the deviation information.

Driving method and driving device of fluid pressure cylinder
A fluid pressure cylinder driving device includes a switch valve, a high pressure air supply source, an exhaust port and a check valve. When the switch valve is at a first position, a head side cylinder chamber communicates with the high pressure air supply source, and a rod side cylinder chamber communicates with the exhaust port. When the switch valve is at a second position, the head side cylinder chamber communicates with the rod side cylinder chamber via the check valve, and the head side cylinder chamber communicates with the exhaust port.
Energy saving accumulator circuit
An improved method and circuitry for fluid power applications that provides energy savings through the sequential recycling of normally exhausted pressure or vacuum by direct transfer and accumulation of exhaust pressure for additional use, including from one end of the actuator to the opposite end or within the actuator itself and for use by other devices in separate systems.
