Carrier For Mounting Of Panel Inserts
Provided herein are various enhancements for panel inserts which can provide for mounting of threaded fasteners or other mounting members into various panels. In one example, a panel insert carrier comprises a barrel having flanged ends. The barrel comprising an axial bore therein having a threaded surface configured to removably accept a threaded insert. At least one of the flanged ends comprises an aperture for injection of potting around an exterior of the barrel when inserted into a bore hole of a panel.
FLOATING FIXING COMPONENT AND MOUNTING METHOD THEREOF
A floating fixing component and a mounting method thereof are introduced. The floating fixing component includes at least a stop section and an application section. The stop section is used to abut against an object to prevent the floating fixing component from separating from the object. The floating fixing component and the object have a floating space existed between them, such that the floating fixing component can float and shift on and relative to the object. With these arrangements, the floating fixing component can be mounted to an object while the application section can be fastened to or disconnected from another object. In this manner, at least two objects can be repeatedly and quickly connected to and disconnected from one another.
FASTENER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING POLYESTER FIBER PANELS TO A SUBSTRATE
A method and fastening device for attaching polyester fiber panels to a substrate, such as a wall or a ceiling. The fastening device comprises an anchor part for attachment to the substrate and a fastening part for attachment to the panel. The fastening part comprises a cylindrical portion, a helical member surrounding the cylindrical portion for penetrating the panel upon rotation of the helical member and a recess in the cylindrical portion for receiving the anchor part. The thread angle of the leading edge of the helical member is greater than the thread angle of the trailing edge.
FASTENER
A fastener includes a base member; a first member, on the base member and having a through bore; a second member, on the base member and spaced from the first member to form a receiving portion to receive a panel structure, including an aperture defining an internal surface, the internal surface including at least one stop member protruding radially inwardly, and a nut member, coaxially aligned within and frangibly connected to the internal surface, including at least one block member protruding radially outward from an outer surface of the nut member to stoppingly engage with the at least one stop member. During use, the nut member moves from a first position, where the nut is frangibly connected to the internal surface, to a second position, where the least one block member abuttingly engages with the at last one stop member.
INSERT SCREW SLEEVE, CONNECTING BOLT, BOLT-SLEEVE COMBINATION, AND COMPONENT THEREWITH
An insert threaded sleeve (1) includes a shank portion (2) extending substantially cylindrically along a sleeve axis (z) for insertion into a hole (32) or a bore; a disc portion (3) terminates the shank portion at an axial end and extends it outward at a right angle to the sleeve axis; a through-hole (5) extends along the sleeve axis through the disc portion and the shank portion for receiving a screw bolt; a component anti-rotation means (11) is configured on an outer surface (10) of the shank portion or on an underside of the disc portion facing toward the shank portion; and a screw anti-rotation structure (15) is configured on a surface (14) of the disc portion facing away from the shank portion. A connecting screw and a screw-sleeve combination are also provided.
Levered latch plunger
A latch includes a ferrule defining a hollow interior region and a ferrule opening that opens into the hollow interior region. A washer is positioned adjacent an end of the ferrule. The washer defines a washer opening. A stud has an elongated body extending along a stud axis, and the stud is positioned to extend through the ferrule opening and keyed to the washer opening such that the stud rotates about the stud axis along with the washer. A lever is pivotably connected to the stud. Rotation of the lever about the pivot axis causes translation of the stud along the stud axis with respect to the ferrule between a latched position, in which an end of the stud protrudes beyond a connection end of the ferrule, and an unlatched position, in which the end of the stud is contained within the interior region defined by the ferrule.
FASTENER INSERT FOR A COMPOSITE SANDWICH PANEL, A PANEL ASSEMBLY, AND A METHOD OF FASTENING A COMPONENT TO A COMPOSITE SANDWICH PANEL
A fastener insert for securement to a composite sandwich panel at an opening in the composite sandwich panel includes a base and a fastener carrier. The base has a body and a flange integral with the body. The flange extends laterally outward of an outer perimeter of the body. The base defines a central cavity extending entirely through both the body and the flange. The base includes a first locking feature disposed at the central cavity. The fastener carrier is configured to insert into the central cavity of the base. The fastener carrier defines a fastener opening and has a second locking feature configured for mechanical engagement with the first locking feature of the base to retain the fastener carrier to the base. A panel assembly and a method of fastening a component to a composite sandwich panel utilize the fastener insert.
Joining method and joining apparatus
A joining method is a method of joining a plate set composed by a plurality of stacked plate members including a first plate member and a second plate member by using a tapping screw. When the tapping screw is advanced into the plate set while the tapping screw is rotated in a state of applying a pressure onto the plate set so as to form through-holes in the first plate member and the second plate member, a first pressure applied onto the tapping screw is reduced down to a second pressure at the time when the tapping screw penetrates the first plate member.
ASSEMBLY FOR AN AIRCRAFT HAVING A PYLON AND A NACELLE COMPRISING A VISOR FITTED WITH TENSIONING SYSTEMS AND CENTERING SYSTEMS
An assembly of a pylon and of a nacelle of an aircraft, wherein the nacelle has a structure, a visor, two centering systems and two tensioning systems. Each tensioning system comprises a first fitting, which is attached to the structure and has an engagement wall through which an orifice passes, a second fitting, which is attached to the visor, a threaded rod that is articulated on the second fitting and passes through the orifice, a spring element fitted on the threaded rod against the opposite face of the engagement wall from the second fitting, and an arresting means that blocks the spring element. Each centering system comprises a first fitting, which is attached to the structure and has a bore, and a second fitting, which is attached to the visor and bears a shaft that is accommodated in the bore.
Ballistic resistant panel insert assembly
A ballistic resistant fastener having a ballistic resistant face plate includes a plurality of layers of aramid synthetic fibers or carbon nanotubes, a plug body having a threaded body bore extending into the body, a helical thread insert within the plug body, a bolt engaging the helical thread insert, and a bottom cup having a cup sidewall attached to the body.
