A curtain wall panel mounting system comprises a ball anchor seated in a spherical cavity or a cylindrical cavity with plugs nearly abutting the ball of the anchor. A stem extends from the ball to connect to the wall panel. Under seismic stress, the ball may swivel within the cavity so as to pivot the anchor, allowing the attached wall panel to angle itself to accommodate the stress.

A fixing disc (1) for initially fixing a fastening element (2) in an opening of a component to be fastened, in particular a facade panel, during mounting of the fastening element (2) and for cutting into and/or removing a defined region of a protective film on the component to be fastened during mounting of the fastening element (2) is described. The fixing disc (1) has a fixing means for initially holding the fastening element (2) in a predetermined position relative to the opening during mounting of the fastening element (2), at least one connecting means (4) for at least temporarily producing a connection between the fixing disc (1) and the fastening element (2), and at least one cutting and/or friction means (5) on that side of the fixing disc (1) which faces the component to be fastened. Furthermore, a fastening element (2) corresponding to the fixing disc (1), a system consisting of fixing disc (1) and fastening element (2), and a corresponding method for cutting into and/or removing a protective film are described.

The disclosure provides a bolt including a main body, a head portion and a thread portion. The main body has a central axis. The head portion connects the main body. The thread portion is connected to the main body and runs around the central axis. The thread portion has a bearing surface facing toward the head portion. The bearing surface is a continuous curved surface or has an inflection point. The bearing surface includes a concave curved surface, a convex curved surface and a flank surface. The concave curved surface connects the main body. The convex curved surface is located further away from the main body than the concave curved surface. One side of the convex curved surface connects the concave curved surface, and another side of the convex curved surface connects the flank surface.

The nut includes an annulus for receiving the stud. The annulus includes a cylindrical portion and a tapered terminal end portion for being received in the hole. The tapered terminal end portion extends from the cylindrical portion. The tapered terminal end portion has an outer surface that narrows diametrically from the cylindrical portion. The nut includes a head extending from the cylindrical portion of the annulus opposite the tapered terminal end portion, the head having outer engagement surfaces for engaging a tool for rotation of the nut, the head having a threaded interior for engaging threads of the stud.

A multi-piece locking fastener having an intermediate component exhibiting a plurality of interior threads arrayed in a first direction. A first fastener has a first enlarged head and a first stem exteriorly threaded in the first direction. A hollowed interior is formed in an end of the stem and exhibits a further plurality of interior threads extending in a second direction opposite the first direction. A second fastener has a second enlarged head and a second stem, upon which is configured a second exterior thread pattern extending in the second direction. The first fastener is installed through the intermediate component from a first direction, with the second fastener rotationally inter-engaging the exposed interior threads of the first fastener in the second direction until the second enlarged heads contact the intermediate component, with loosening of either of the first and second fasteners being prevented.
