A tolerance compensating element for a device for connecting components by a connecting screw, includes an inner and an outer threaded part (10, 12), which are in threaded engagement with one another and, together, form a length-adjustable spacer (14), and a sleeve (30) which is held in the inner threaded part (10) and holds a spring element (34) in a position in which it comes into frictional contact with the circumference of the inserted connecting screw, and an unscrew protection device (44) in the form of a ring that is rotatably supported at one end of the spacer (14) and includes at least one arm (48) which projects axially into the sleeve (30) and, at the free end, forms an outwardly cranked claw (50) against which a stop (54) formed on the sleeve (30) abuts when a maximum unscrewing distance of the inner threaded part (10) is reached.

METHOD OF ASSEMBLING FASTENER STRUCTURE ON PLATE BODY
20210025438 · 2021-01-28 ·

A method of assembling a fastener structure on a plate body is introduced. The fastener structure includes a body portion and a fastening body. The body portion has a solderable layer, and the solderable layer is soldered to a plate body. The fastening body combines movably with the body portion. The fastening body has a head and a fastening portion. The body portion or the fastening body is provided on the plate body for soldering after it is picked up by a tool so that the body portion can combine with the plate body. Also, the body portion or the fastening body combines with an assisting pickup unit, and the fastener structure is provided on the plate body for soldering after it is picked up by a tool through the assisting pickup unit so that the body portion can combine with the plate body.

QUICK-RELEASE FASTENER STRUCTURE
20210003153 · 2021-01-07 ·

A quick-release fastener structure includes a body portion and an engaging portion. The body portion is fitted to a first object. The engaging portion is movably fitted to the body portion. The engaging portion has a head portion, a bar portion with an end connected to the head portion, and an engaging-connecting portion disposed at another end of the bar portion. The engaging-connecting portion is insertedly engaged with or separated from a second object. Therefore, the quick-release fastener structure operates by fitting the body portion to the first object and allowing the engaging portion to be engagedly connected to the second object or removed from the second object, such that the at least two objects are coupled together and separated repeatedly and quickly.

Fixing device

The present invention relates to a fixing device and related methods. In particular it relates to a fixing device for connecting components, such as components of 5 structural support systems, and related methods.

FASTENING DEVICE FOR AN ADJUSTABLE ACCESSORY

A fastening device for an adjustable display accessory in the region of the dashboard of a motor vehicle is provided. The accessory is movable into different positions relative to an operator. The fastening device pivots by a driver into an optimal position and when not in use is able to be pivoted back into a neutral position in which the driver is not disturbed, wherein at the same time the accessory may be lockable in its position such that in it maintains its set position despite vibrations. A pivoting arm which is rotatable about a fixed first axis is provided and a holder for the accessory is arranged on the free end of the pivoting arm. The holder is rotatable about a second axis provided on the pivoting arm and both the pivoting arm and the holder are lockable on their axes in a plurality of latched positions.

A device for compensating of tolerances between a first component and a second component is described. The device may have an elastic centering arrangement which is provided for centering the device in a nominal position on the first component, which may be formed for this purpose.

Floating fastener

A floating fastener includes a socket fastened to a first board member, a locking device axially slidably mounted in the socket and adapted for locking the socket and the first board member to a second board member, and an insulative barrel including a flexible barrel body attached onto the socket, a cap for capping on the barrel body to shield the locking device in the socket and to protect the socket and the locking device against corrosion and a flexible connecting strip connected between the barrel body and the cap.

HIGH IMPACT RESISTANT HEAT SINK
20200328136 · 2020-10-15 ·

A heat sink mounting configuration is provided that is configured to prevent the heat sink from damaging ball grid arrays (BGA) of an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) when the line card is subjected to vibrations and shocks. The heat sink mounting configuration may include a set of screws configured to be at least partially disposed within the apertures of the heat sink to secure the heat sink to the PCB. The mounting configuration includes a resilient member and a spacer disposed around the screws proximate to the apertures. The resilient members are configured to bias the heat sink against the ASIC to maintain the heat sink in contact with the ASIC. The spacers are configured to prevent the heat sink from impacting the ASIC with forces large enough to damage the BGA when the line card is subjected to vibrations and shocks.

Flooring support system

A flooring substrate system that uses one of three substrate components upon which various types of finish flooring may be attached above a deck structure. The deck structure may be open lumber framed or may be a waterproofed planar surface. Affixation of the flooring system may be by direct connection or by gravitational placement. Height and slope adjustable components interlock through a plunge, twist and locking teeth arrangement to form supporting members beneath the substrate components. A special fastening system is utilized between two of the substrate components to provide lateral stability to the top reversible structural panel.
