A vertical axis wind turbine, comprising: a wind turbine body; a blade; and a strut having a first end coupled to the wind turbine body and a second end coupled to the blade using a fastening arrangement, wherein the fastening arrangement comprises a pliable fastening member pulling the blade towards the second end of the strut.

Floating connection fastening system

A floating connection fastening system employs a semi-flexible floating bushing having a sleeve that may have an axial slot which captures a fastener having a head, an unthreaded shank portion and a threaded portion. The sleeve may have an outer primary surface and a plurality of protuberances that project outward from the outer primary surface. An offset cap mounts to the bushing/fastener assembly and receives a driver bit. The offset cap defines an offset clearance for installation of the fastener and bushing. The floating connection is installed by driving the fastener through a non-load bearing member so as to form a bore and threadably engage a load bearing member. The floating bushing has a flange which engages the surface of the non-load bearing member, and the sleeve is entirely received in the formed bore.

Positioning and fastening system for combining planks

A positioning and fastening system for combining planks comprises at least two planks, each of which has a junction surface at one end plane and a clamping surface at the other end plane wherein the junction surface on each of the planks is designed to have a positioning counterbored hole, the clamping surface is designed to have a pre-burying counterbored hole opposite to the positioning counterbored hole, and both the positioning counterbored hole and the pre-burying counterbored hole allow a bolt hole to penetrate in between. For combining the two planks based on the opposite junction surfaces, the two positioning counterbored holes allow a positioning pin to be plugged in and between for positioning, the positioning pin develops a bolt passage centrally, the nut hole inside each positioning counterbored hole of the two planks pre-buried a nut in which a screw hole is prepared centrally, and a junction bolt penetrates from one nut at anyone of the two planks through the bolt passage and is fixed in the screw hole of the nut at the other plank. Based on above components, combining two planks is completed fastly and accurately.

Tolerance compensator

A stay rod assembly for a fluid pump has a rod with the first threaded section at one end and a second threaded section at an opposite end thereof with a stud portion located between the first threaded section and the second threaded section, and a sleeve positioned over the stud portion of the rod. The stud portion is tapered so as to narrow diameter from the first threaded section to the second threaded section. The stud portion has no shoulders thereon. The rod is received in an interior of the sleeve.

Double shear attachment device with an eccentric axis and eccentric sleeves, mechanical assembly including such a device and assembling process

A double shear attachment device with an eccentric axis and eccentric sleeves, mechanical assembly including such a device and assembling process. The attachment device comprises an eccentric axis and two eccentric sleeves to mount on the eccentric axis to correct, by an appropriate positioning in rotation of the eccentric sleeves on the eccentric axis, the possible clearances between superposed circular holes of mechanical components that have to be linked together by the attachment device, the attachment device including also blocking structure configured to block in rotation the eccentric sleeves, the attachment device thus allowing to generate a quick and clear attachment, that is able to correct clearances locally.

Specialized connection devices and method of use

An anchor bolt fastener assembly with specialized connection capabilities and features for attaching building components to concrete slabs, walls, ceilings, and/or structural surfaces. Compression force can be established and maintained over time using a compression washer in combination with a specialized fastener stud that is designed to exploit the compression washer benefits. Methods of using exemplary embodiments include installing the anchor bolt fastener assembly relatively flush with the surface of the concrete slurry by direct insertion in the slurry using a specialized threaded anchor bolt float. Once the slurry hardens, the anchor bolt and anchor bolt float embedded in the concrete slurry cooperate with the specialized fastener stud to secure the building component to the concrete.
