A relationship between the magnetic fields detected and target magnetic field values is determined to provide an output signal or indicator of the propriety of the support device used or the propriety of its connection to the display device.

Clipless roof ditch molding, roof ditch molding assembly therewith and methods of assembly and construction thereof

A roof ditch molding, roof ditch molding assembly, method of constructing a roof ditch molding, and method of assembling a roof ditch molding into a roof ditch of a vehicle are provided. The roof ditch molding includes an elongate metal substrate having an outer surface and an inner surface with opposite edge regions extending along a direction of a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The inner surface faces and delimits an elongate channel extending between the opposite ends. The opposite edge regions are spaced from one another for snapping receipt of a plurality of fasteners therebetween, thereby eliminating the need for supplemental fastening features to fixedly secure the roof ditch molding within the roof ditch.

Fastening device for a water-catching strip, and arrangement of a water-catching strip on an A-pillar of a motor vehicle

A fastening device is provided for arranging a water-catching strip of a motor vehicle on an A-pillar of the motor vehicle. The fastening device can be secured in its position relative to the A-pillar by way of a bolt fastened to the A-pillar. The fastening device has a retaining region for retaining a fastening portion of the water-catching strip. The fastening device includes, in the retaining region, at least one tab, which protrudes from a main body of the fastening device and has a detent element, which detent element is designed to engage in one of a plurality of grooves. The grooves are formed in the fastening portion of the water-catching strip such that the grooves are arranged adjacent to each other in a direction of extension of the at least one tab. An arrangement of a water-catching strip of a motor vehicle on an A-pillar is carried out by a fastening device of this type.

Connection assembly

A connection assembly includes first and second components which, starting from a separated disassembled state, are joinable to each other along a plane of relative movement parallel to respective planes of extension of the components into an interconnected assembled state, and are transferrable back into the disassembled state. The first component has a latching element on either side of the plane of relative movement, and the second component has two latching element receptacles. In the assembled state, each of the latching element receptacles cooperates with a respective latching portion of a respective one of the latching elements. The latching portions are movable along a movement path starting from a non-deformed rest state. A first portion of the movement path pointing in a disassembly direction with respect to the rest state is limited by stop surfaces against which the respective latching elements rest in a course of disassembling the components.
