Turnbuckle linkages are disclosed herein. A turnbuckle linkage includes a hollow rod including an inner portion, a first outer portion, and a second outer portion between the first outer portion and the inner portion, the inner portion including a first thickness, the second outer portion including a second thickness less than the first thickness, and the first outer portion including a conical thickness that varies from the second thickness to a third thickness less than the second thickness, the first outer portion and the second outer portion including first threads, a threadless rod to be partially positioned in the hollow rod, and a conical nut including second threads to engage the first threads, the conical nut to couple the hollow rod and the threadless rod.

Splice plate for cable tray fitting

A fitting splice plate connects a cable tray fitting to a cable tray section. The fitting splice plate includes a guard extending in an outboard direction from a second longitudinal portion of a plate body adjacent a first longitudinal portion of the plate body. The guard is adjacent one of an upper side and a lower side of the second longitudinal portion. The fitting splice plate may include both upper and lower guards.

Locking connector assembly

A connector having a male component and a female component. The male component has a first tubular section, a second tubular section, and a midsection between the first tubular section and the second tubular section. The female component is connected to the second tubular section of the male component upon relative rotational movement between the male component and the female component and disconnected from the second tubular section of the male component upon relative rotational movement between the male component and the female component in a direction opposite to the direction when the male component and the female component are being connected. The female component has a bearing surface bearing against the midsection of the male component in a first position of the bearing surface and is spaced from the midsection of the male component in other positions of the female component.

TRUSS SECTION CONNECTION APPARATUS
20170356179 · 2017-12-14 ·

A truss connection apparatus is used to connect truss sections. A connection segment is mounted on each truss to be connected. Each connection segment has an opening, in alignment with each other to receive a fastener. The fastener is threaded on one end and can receive a nut. The other end of the fastener is a locking end having a radial protrusion. One of the connection segments has a securing means adapted to secure the locking end when the at least one protrusion of the locking end is rotated to a locking position. In the locking position the protrusion mates with the securing means and the fastener is prevented from rotational or axial movement and connection segments are fixed relative to each other as are the truss sections on which the connection sections are mounted.

Cable tray system
09841123 · 2017-12-12 · ·

A collection of components for a cable tray system provide the components and basic hardware for assembling and installing a cable tray that can change direction in three dimensions to avoid obstacles or other cables' trays while negotiating a designated space. Components of the cable tray system may be modular, that is, pre-configured for ease of assembly, such as vertical kits and horizontal bend kits, while others are supplied in lengths for cutting them to fit jobsite requirements, such as rails and rungs. Both components provide an inherent framework that facilitates conceptualization and construction of a cable tray system at the jobsite with flexibility and simplicity to allow the present cable tray system to be employed more efficiently and accurately.

Systems and methods for post-tensioning in concrete support systems

A system, method, and apparatus for post-tensioning in masonry-based system, especially concrete support systems. In one embodiment, a system is presented that can include an anchor, pocket-former, and bolt, wherein the pocket-former can be configured to engage each of the anchor and bolt to facilitate securing of the system to a form. In another embodiment, a method of post-tensioning is presented, wherein a tendon can be suspended at the live end via connections facilitated by a pocket-former. In another embodiment, a system and method of post-tensioning is presented that prevents a pocket and anchor from being contaminated with debris that could ultimately compromise the integrity of the tensioned material.

Connection system for a luminaire, and a lighting system using the connection system
11506364 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A connection system for a linear lighting system has channels of adjacent luminaires coupled together by a coupling arrangement having a first plate, a second plate and fixings for clamping the first and second plates around wall portions of the two channels. The fixings are slidable along slots so that the coupling arrangement can be slid into an operable position or to an out-of-the way position for disassembly. One of the first and second plates comprises a spring member having sprung projections for projecting into the apertures, to provide an automatic clamping function when the coupling arrangement is tightened. For example, there may be an outer coupling plate and an inner spring plate which forms the spring member.

FIRE SPRINKLER ASSEMBLY

A fire sprinkler assembly includes a flexible conduit; and an integral hub and bracket assembly comprising: a bracket hub coupled to a bracket bar; and an adjustable drop integrally formed with the bracket hub, the adjustable drop defining a lengthwise axis oriented transverse to the bracket bar, the flexible conduit coupled to the adjustable drop; and a sprinkler head extending from the adjustable drop.

Steel pipe coupling device for steel pipes

A coupling device includes male and female couplings having first and second circumferential grooves on surfaces of the respective couplings that face each other when the couplings are fitted together. The coupling device further includes an engaging member. When the male coupling is pushed into the female coupling, the engaging member is retracted into the second groove, allowing the male coupling to be inserted into the female coupling, and when the couplings are fitted together, the engaging member is pushed into the first groove by coil springs so as to be fitted into both of the groove, thereby preventing separation of the male and female couplings in the axial direction. Countersunk head screws support respective divided pieces of the engaging member. Slotted head setscrews are screwed in at boundaries between the adjacent divided pieces to press the divided pieces against the bottom of the first groove.
