A device for making plumbing connections is provided. The device includes a first compression nut, a second compression nut, a sleeve fitting body between the first compression nut and the second compression nut, a first ferrule between the first compression nut and the sleeve fitting body, and a second ferrule between the sleeve fitting body and the second compression nut. The first compression nut has a first narrow portion and a first threaded portion, the first narrow portion having a first internal cavity with a first diameter. The second compression nut has a second narrow portion and a second threaded portion, the second narrow portion having a second internal cavity with a second diameter. The sleeve fitting body has a threaded portion that respectively correspond to the first and second threaded portions, and a first cavity portion having the first diameter, and a second cavity portion having the second diameter.

A threaded fastener pair, including: a first threaded fastener with a male threaded portion; and a second threaded fastener with a female threaded portion, the female portion being configured to receive the male threaded portion, wherein the first threaded fastener is formed with a shank having an outer diameter approximately equal to an outer diameter of the second threaded portion, the second threaded fastener has a length equal to or greater than that of the first threaded fastener and the length of the first threaded fastener is at least 45 mm.

A rotary closed-valve type vacuum suction device is mounted to a bottom of an object, and has a valve assembly, a sucker, and a valve part. The valve assembly has a top valve seat and a bottom valve seat mounted below the top valve seat. The sucker is mounted to a bottom of the valve assembly. The valve part is inserted through a valve hole of the sucker and the bottom valve seat, and is connected to the top valve seat. When one of the top valve seat and the bottom valve seat is rotated to change the relative position between the bottom valve seat and the top valve seat in a height direction of the valve assembly, the valve part switches the valve hole of the sucker between an open state and a closed state.

A solar array support structure includes a mounting structure extending a length and configured to receive a solar array, an externally threaded pile extension extending from the mounting structure toward a ground; and a vertical pile extending into the ground, the vertical pile including: a pile body extending between a first end and a second end and including a main body extending from the first end, the pile body further including a conical portion extending from the main body to the second end, and a first helical structure extending around at least one of a portion of the main body and a portion of the conical portion. The first end of the vertical pile is internally threaded and has received the externally threaded pile extension. A coupler for force-transmitting coupling of two components, with a first coupling part having a first coupling interface, with a second coupling part having a second coupling interface, and with a coupling rod which is connected with a first end portion rotatably movable about an axis of rotation to the first coupling part and with a second end portion rotatably movable about the axis of rotation to the second coupling part, wherein the first end portion and the first coupling part form a first thread arrangement for adjusting a distance between the first coupling part and the second coupling part, wherein the first thread arrangement is assigned a first brake system, which is designed for a frictional brake torque transmission between the first coupling part and the first end portion.

A tactical-gear interconnection system apparatus and method allowing connection of a variety of tactical gear such as gun stocks, camera supports, sights, rangefinders, grips, and clamps, in field-interchangeable configurations responsive to changes in field conditions, by providing same-sized threaded plug units on all gear and same-sized interchangeable unions for removable connection of various pieces of gear.

Inserts disposed in a housing of a pneumatically or hydraulically powered tool having a motor adapted to rotate a drive lug in either of first and second rotational directions. The insert is composed of a material resistive to creep and/or stress relaxation. The insert contacts fasteners applying a clamping force to the tool and remove the housing from the load path of the clamping force, thereby reducing the possibility of fluid leaks.

A system, method, and apparatus for post-tensioning in masonry-based system, especially concrete support systems. In one embodiment, a system is presented that can include an anchor, pocket-former, and bolt, wherein the pocket-former can be configured to engage each of the anchor and bolt to facilitate securing of the system to a form. In another embodiment, a method of post-tensioning is presented, wherein a tendon can be suspended at the live end via connections facilitated by a pocket-former. In another embodiment, a system and method of post-tensioning is presented that prevents a pocket and anchor from being contaminated with debris that could ultimately compromise the integrity of the tensioned material.

A string hanging device for hanging a continuous ornamental string on a physical object having a portion elevated above the upward reach of a user, is disclosed. The string hanging device includes a tubular member having an arcuately curved interior passageway configured for receiving the ornamental string. The passageway includes an entry port and an exit port. A pole member is included that has a proximal end and a distal end, and a coupler portion disposed at the distal end. A coupler is provided for removably coupling the tubular member to the coupler portion of the distal end of the pole. A hook member includes a coupler for removably coupling the hook member to the coupler portion of the distal end of the pole.
