A fastener system for quick and easy assembly of an article of slatted furniture is used to join multiple slats and connects a support thereto. A flange inserted into one of the slats receives a stud connected to the support. A rod connects a plurality the slats, and mates with the flange. The flange and rod are rotatable within the slats to properly position and tighten the fastener system.

An enclosure can have an enclosure body, the enclosure body can include an enclosure frame, and a first enclosure flange. The enclosure can have a center post having a first end and an opposite second end, the first end can include a first center post flange having a hole extending therethrough. The enclosure can include a gasket having a gasket hole therethrough, and a threaded fastener to threadingly engage the hole. The threaded fastener can be configured to rotate in a first direction while threadingly engaged with the hole, and the threaded fastener can contact the first enclosure flange to increase a distance between the first enclosure flange and the first center post flange in order to receive the gasket.

A bracket assembly includes a bracket, such as a flat plate bracket, including a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a number of apertures through the bracket extending from the first surface to the second surface. The first surface engages at least one table top board. The bracket assembly also includes a number of studs protruding from the second surface of the bracket, the studs to selectively attach the bracket to a second bracket structure, such as a leg support system. A mounting structure for a bedstead includes a side rail and a cross rail of the bedstead. The side rail and the cross rail are connected by a connecting member. The connecting member includes a body. The body is provided with a first U-shaped groove in which the side rail is clamped. The opening of the first U-shaped groove faces downward. The body lateral to the first U-shaped groove is further provided with a second U-shaped groove in which the cross rail is clamped. The opening of the second U-shaped groove faces sideward. The side rail and the cross rail are quick and easy to connect, and the manufacturing cost can also be reduced.

A support for a piece of modular furniture, and a piece of modular furniture which includes the support. The support includes first and second legs connected by a longitudinal member and a support member. The support member extends generally transversely to the longitudinal member in a direction allowing it to extend under a seat and support the seat. The piece of furniture preferably includes two or more such supports, each having a support member which extends towards the other support, so that they together may support the seat. The supports are generally universal in design, in that a single type of support may be used to make many different types of furniture, such as a chair, a sofa, an end table and a full table. Chairs and sofas may include backs, and therefore the supports used with such types of furniture include extensions which support the back.

Disclosed is a modular furniture system such as a modular sofa assembly in the present invention. The modular sofa assembly includes a square or rectangular base that can be attached to different modules such as a side rest, a back rest, legs, cushions, and other bases to obtain various furniture items such as a single seater couch, a two seater couch, a three seater couch, or a multi-seater couch with chaise or ottomans. Further, by performing appropriate connections of the various components of the modular furniture system, a user can create tables, beds, lazy lounges, or the like. The modular sofa can be easily assembled and disassembled to obtain the various formations.

In order to provide a connecting device for connecting two components, which is simple to manufacture and enables a stable and reliable connection of the two components, it is proposed that the connecting device comprises a main body which comprises a receiving channel extending through the main body for accommodating a fixing element, wherein the receiving channel is preferably accessible at one end by way of an insertion opening of the main body and/or preferably at a (further) end by way of a fixing opening of the main body, wherein the main body preferably further comprises an actuating opening that is different from the insertion opening and/or the fixing opening, by way of which in particular the fixing element arranged in the receiving channel is preferably accessible for the actuation thereof.

To provide a leg coupling for a table, etc., which is suitably used for attaching a table leg made of, for example, solid wood, and which is simple in structure and which can be manufactured easily and inexpensively, and which can be attached to a table leg having various shapes and/or various sectional shapes easily and firmly.
