IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO CONNECTING DEVICES
A connecting device (10) is provided for connecting a first article (14) to an elongate second article (24). The connecting device (10) comprises a securing arrangement (25) for securing the device (10) to the elongate second article (24), and an attaching arrangement (26) for attaching the connecting device to the first article (14). The attaching arrangement (26) is receivable through an opening (22) in the first article (14). The attaching arrangement (26) comprises a locking arrangement (40) for locking the connecting device (10) to the first article (14). The locking arrangement (40) comprises a detent formation (42) configured to be received by an opening in the first article (14).
Display support system
A display support system is provide and includes a node connector and a support connector secured to the node connector. The node connector includes a plurality of intersecting planar surfaces that form the outer surface thereof. The support connector is releasably securable to the node connector along one of the plurality of intersecting planar surfaces.
Plastic anchor for drywall, plaster, brick and concrete
An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener. The proximal section comprises a pair of legs each having a toothed rack for engaging the structural material.
AFFIXING DEVICE FOR PIECES
The affixing device for pieces includes an affixing element (1) that can be positioned through an opening (6) in each one of the pieces (7, 8) that are affixed to each other, that also comprises a first and second retaining elements (2, 3), which, when they are in their affixing positions, are in contact with the pieces (7, 8) that are affixed to each other, with the affixing device (1) passing through the first and second retaining elements (2, 3), and with the first retaining element (2) including an accommodation space for a tool. This configuration allows for faster and simpler assembly of the affixing device, also avoiding problems of misalignment.
FASTENER SYSTEM
A fastener system shifting shear stresses away from a collet body and provides clamping action to targeted structures. The fastener system includes feet in the collet body that mate with openings in a sleeve at least partially surrounding the collet body. The sleeve or the collet body includes interior threads that engage with a stud that is configured to extend through the collet body and bend the feet such that they project outward from the sleeve openings in an engaged configuration.
Quick change fastener
A fastener comprises a housing, a socket, a pintle and a locking feature. The housing includes a shaft, a central bore that extends axially at least partially through the housing and a ball lock aperture extending from the bore. The socket extends into the housing adjacent to the first end face, and is configured such that rotation of the first socket rotates the fastener. The pintle is positioned within the bore and includes an actuation end and a rod that extends axially from the actuation end. The rod includes a ball transitioning surface and a ball locking surface. The pintle is moveable axially within the bore between a designated lock position where the ball locking surface of the pintle is aligned in register with each ball lock aperture, and a designated unlocked position where the ball lock surface of the pintle is moved axially away from each ball lock aperture.
Lashing securement pin
A lashing pin for engaging a hole in member to facilitate lashing the member to a fixture or vehicle. The lashing pin combines a cam pin sleeve assembly having a flange and sleeve with an eccentric hole formed therethrough with a cam pin assembly having a cam pin passing through the eccentric hole and connecting a cam disk with an eccentrically mounted cam. Rotation of the cam disk with respect to the flange aligns and misaligned the cam with respect to the cam sleeve, thereby enabling insertion through the hole at first position, and retention of the cam against removal at a second position.
Metal Channel Anchor with Enhanced Holding Strength
A longitudinal channel with increased holding strength, configured for use as an anchoring element for an anchor used in supporting objects on a substrate and a method for the production thereof and an anchor. The channel has a generally U-shaped axial cross section in at least a portion thereof with, the U-shaped cross section being comprised of longitudinal side walls and a longitudinal base connection between the side walls. The side walls have free edges configured for holding contact with the substrate. A portion of the free edges of the channel are covered with a planar continuous surface material which is co-extensive with non-covered free edges whereby the planar continuous surface material and the free edges provide a planar holding surface with greater surface area than that of the free edges alone for the increased holding strength.
