Radial expansion coupling device
A radial expansion system for a fastener is disclosed. The radial expansion system can include a plurality of wedge guides. Each wedge guide can have at least one guide surface. The plurality of wedge guides can be operable to be movably arranged along an axis with the guide surfaces of adjacent wedge guides opposing one another. The radial expansion system can also include a plurality of expansion wedges. Each expansion wedge can have wedge surfaces configured to slidingly interface with the at least one guide surface. Each expansion wedge can also have a clamp surface operable to interface with an interior portion of a first component. The plurality of expansion wedges can be operable to be disposed between adjacent wedge guides such that the wedge surfaces interface with the opposing guide surfaces. A second component and the plurality of wedge guides can be operable to be drawn toward one another by a fastener to cause the plurality of expansion wedges to displace radially outward from the axis such that the clamping surfaces engage and apply a clamping force to the interior portion of the first component, and thereby couple the first and second components to one another.
Snap nut concrete anchor assembly
The present disclosure describes an anchor device for receiving and securing a shaft thereto. The device includes an outer housing within which a jaw assembly is secured. The outer housing of the device may in turn be secured to or within a support structure such as a building component. Jaw components of the jaw assembly may be threaded. Furthermore, the jaw assembly has at least two configurations. In a first configuration, at least one jaw component is positioned away from a central shaft axis against the biasing force of a biasing member. A removable or reconfigurable holding member or stop member selectively secures the at least one jaw component in this position. A second configuration is the result of the holding member being reconfigured by the inserted shaft. The shaft triggers movement of the at least one jaw component toward the central shaft axis and into contact with the shaft.
Flush mount retainer assembly
A flush mount retainer assembly adapted to be received within a panel opening is provided. The flush mount retainer assembly includes a base defining a threaded bore for receiving a fastener and a front and back support members that each resiliently flex outwardly in response to the fastener engaging the threaded bore. Front and back retention members extend from the front and back support members, respectively, to limit movement of the flush mount retainer assembly relative to the panel prior to the bore being engaged by the fastener. The flush mount retainer assembly further includes first and second-side retention members disposed between vertical portions of the front and back support member and being adapted to stabilized the flush mount retainer assembly within panel openings having certain depths.
Removable plugs for furniture, systems including such plugs, and methods of their use
A removable plug is disclosed for concealing a bore in a piece of furniture, the plug includes a body configured to fit within the bore. A retaining portion of the body is configured to be of adjustable diameter such that a user can cause an increase in the diameter of the portion to create an interference fit between an outer wall of the body and an inner wall of the bore, thereby retaining the plug removably within the bore. Systems and methods that utilize the removable plug are also disclosed.
RAPID INTERIOR WALL LAYOUT COMPONENTS AND METHODS
A rapid interior wall layout system can include an anchor and clasp. The anchor can have a lower portion that fits within a drywall track opening, an upper portion having an external notch, and a central opening that extends through the lower and upper portions to receive a fastener that extends through the anchor to hold the anchor in place against an existing building structure. The clasp can include a base, arms pivotally coupled to the base, tabs that extend inward from the arms, and flanges that extend from the base and arms. The clasp tabs can lock onto the external notch during installation to hold the drywall track in place against the anchor. The system can also include the drywall track itself, a second anchor for a second opening in the drywall track and a second clasp to hold the drywall track in place against the second anchor.
CAST-IN PLACE ANCHOR WITH MULTI-USE JAWS AND REMOVABLE NOSE-PIECE
An anchor system is disclosed for anchoring objects to a concrete structure after concrete setting. The assembly includes an anchor housing having a threaded opening, a metal decking anchor assembly and a wood form anchor assembly. The wood form and the metal decking anchor assemblies may accommodate the anchor housing and the anchor housing is used in one of the wood form anchor assembly and the metal decking anchor assembly. The metal decking anchor assembly includes a nose-piece and the anchor housing is selectively connectable to the nose-piece via a locking connection such as a bayonet connection.
SLEEVE SCREW
Disclosed is a sleeve screw comprising a sleeve, a position limiting member and a screw, wherein the sleeve includes a hollow tube and a locking element which is formed by extending from an entrance opening into an inner space of the hollow tube, the position limiting member is disposed within the hollow tube and is abutted against by a bottom of an extending end of the locking element. Thereby, when the screw is inserted into the sleeve, the position limiting member abuts against the screw to retain the screw in the sleeve and the locking element abuts against the position limiting member to fix the position limiting member in the sleeve.
Sensor arrangement with RFID
A grommet (20, 30) as part of a fastening element for a building envelope essentially comprises a head (21), a tip (22) and a sleeve (23) therebetween, wherein the head (21) is essentially constructed as an extensive washer (24), the central hole of which is adjoined by the tubular sleeve (23). The tip (22) narrows essentially in a conical or tapered manner to a smaller diameter. The grommet (20, 30) has a sensor arrangement (25), with at least one RFID transponder with antenna and a sensor operatively connected to the transponder.
WALLBOARD ANCHOR
An anchor for wallboard installation includes an anchor body elongated along an axis, the anchor body including a driving end, a wall boring end and an internal bore running from the driving end to an internal end short of a distal tip of the wall boring end. The anchor body includes a first frusto-conical body portion, a second frusto-conical body portion running from the first frusto-conical body portion to an annular groove and an end body portion running from the annular groove toward the distal tip.
PLASTIC ANCHOR FOR DRYWALL, PLASTER, BRICK AND CONCRETE
An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener. The proximal section comprises a pair of legs each having a toothed rack for engaging the structural material.
