Offset anchor device
10024349 · 2018-07-17 · ·

An anchor device including an expansion section expandable when an expansion screw is screwed into the anchor device, and a tubular shank into which the expansion screw can be screwed. The anchor device has a joining device with an elongated offset element as well as a joining element. The first end of the offset element is connected to the tubular shank in such a way that the offset element extends essentially perpendicular to the tubular shank and to the expansion section. The second end of the offset element is connected to the first end of the joining element in such a way that the joining element extends essentially perpendicular to the offset element and essentially parallel to the tubular shank and to the expansion section.

Method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface

A method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface is provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one opening in a face of the solid surface and inserting a plaque support into the at least one opening. The plaque support includes a body defining a passageway therethrough and having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange portion. Further, at least one outer tab member extends radially outward toward the first end and at least one inner tab member extends radially inward toward the second end. The outer tab member engages the solid surface upon insertion of the plaque support into the at least one opening. The method and system further include providing the plaque with at least one installation fastener. The at least one installation fastener is inserted into the passageway of the plaque support, such that the at least one inner tab member engages the at least one installation fastener.

Flush mount screw anchor

The present screw anchor advantageously has two fins radially extending from the body of the screw anchor, where the fins additionally extend above the top end of the body. This unique fin design permits the user to drive the screw anchor into the worn screw hole within a wood substrate so that the screw anchor is substantially flush or recessed within the worn screw hole. When the fins are aligned with the grain of the wood, the fins split the wood at the grain and prevent rotation of the screw anchor. Because the screw anchor is flush or recessed, the anchor does not interfere with the installation of hardware overtop the anchor, such as a hinge. Furthermore, the original screw, such as in the case of a door hinge, can be reused to create an invisible repair.

Fastener

A fastener with workpiece clamping functionality. The fastener, in one example, includes a body assembly configured to transition the fastener between a clamping configuration and an insertion and removal configuration. The body assembly is further configured to, in the clamping configuration, adjust an axial length between a proximal clamping surface and a distal clamping surface while an axial length between the distal clamping surface and a distal end of the fastener remains constant, where the body assembly includes a shaft that is axially spaced away from a drive screw.

Threaded fastener hole repair apparatus

A threaded fastener hole repair apparatus for repairing a stripped target screw hole so that the desired screw can once again be secured therein comprises an elongated, conical fastener sleeve having a threaded exterior surface and a substantially hollow, conical interior. The elongated fastener sleeve is made up of ten discrete breakaway portions, defined as a single proximal end section and nine sleeve sections, with each separated by a circumferential score in the fastener sleeve, thereby allowing the fastener sleeve to be resized by snapping off breakaway portions a desired point. The substantially hollow, conical interior of the fastener sleeve includes four elongated flaps which run in a narrowing manner along the wall of the conical interior in the fastener sleeve, providing an additional surface inside the conical interior of the fastener sleeve to mesh with the threads of the screw being inserted into the fastener sleeve.

PLASTIC ANCHOR FOR DRYWALL, PLASTER, BRICK AND CONCRETE

An anchoring device for insertion in a hole provided in a structure such as a wall (hollow or solid) comprises proximal and distal sections. The proximal section includes a head defining an aperture for receiving a fastener, and the distal section includes a pair of expandable wings displaceable between collapsed and expanded positions. Each wing is biased towards its expanded position such that the wings can engage the structural material delimiting the hole or a distal surface of the structure. The distal section comprises, proximally of the wings, a variable-length flexible portion for allowing the wings to engage the distal surface of the structure for various structure thicknesses. The distal section comprises, distally of the wings, a tip section adapted to spread outwardly when engaged by the fastener. The proximal section comprises a pair of legs each having a toothed rack for engaging the structural material.

Undercut anchor

An undercut anchor having an at least partially threaded rod portion having an outer thread diameter D.sub.ROD. The anchor having an expansion feature coupled to the rod portion and an expansion sleeve having an outer diameter D.sub.OUTER SLEEVE, an inner diameter D.sub.INNER SLEEVE and a wall thickness T.sub.SLEEVE. Furthermore, the expansion sleeve has a plurality of circumferentially distributed fingers which are configured to flex outwards when a ramp portion of length L.sub.RAMP of each of the respective fingers is forced against the expansion feature during installation of the undercut anchor. The fingers each having a length L.sub.FINGER and a distance therebetween of W.sub.SLOT.
