Self-Piercing Fastener
A self-piercing fastener having a planar base plate with a top, a bottom, and a peripheral edge. A plurality of prongs are fixed to the peripheral edge and extend downward past the bottom of the baseplate. Each of the prongs has a central axis and an arrowhead-shaped barb fixed to a distal end. Each barb has opposed front edges extending from the tip, and opposed back edges oriented at a reverse acute angle relative to the central axis of the prong. Each barb is adapted to fixedly embed in the interior of a panel to which the fastener is affixed.
Wall anchors and assemblies for heavyweight objects
Wall anchors and assemblies of the present disclosure include a plate, one more prongs, and a load bearing structure. The prongs are typically integral with a side edge of the plate and are typically curved in an upward towards the top edge of the plate.
Friction Fit Composite Column
A composite assembly includes a series of elongated layers joined lengthwise thereof. At least two of the elongated layers each have an upper elongated portion and a lower elongated portion secured together in an end-to-end relationship at a joint therebetween by a connector arrangement. The upper elongated portion is constructed of a wood material, and the lower elongated portion is constructed of a non-wood material. The lower elongated portion may have a reinforcing rod therein.
Method for connecting wooden construction panels with an insulating material layer
A method for connecting at least two wooden panels for acoustic and/or thermal insulation. In a first step a metal plate or a metal strip with a thickness less than 1.5 mm with teeth, which face the surface of the at least one wooden panel, is arranged in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the metal plate or the metal strip. An insulating element is attached to the second surface of the wood construction panel with teeth. A second metal plate or metal strip with a thickness of 1.5 mm or less is attached on the insulating element. A third element of a wood construction panel is attached on the second surface of the second metal plate or strip with teeth. Screws are inserted through at least one panel and at least one plate and the screws pierce the metal plate or strip.
FASTENING ELEMENT OF A T-SHAPED PROFILE HOSE, CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT WITH THE FASTENING ELEMENT, SETTING DEVICE AS WELL AS MANUFACTURING AND CONNECTION METHOD
Described are the fastening element of a T-shaped profile hose (e.g., made of a polymer material) in a connection arrangement, as well as the associated connection arrangement. Furthermore, a manufacturing method of the fastening element, a connection method of the connection arrangement with a setting device and the setting device with the connection arrangement are disclosed.
The fastening element may be made of one-part sheet metal construction and may comprise a rectangular bottom with a central longitudinal axis having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. Furthermore, a plurality of locking teeth which project beyond the first surface on one side are adapted for penetrating into the polymer material of the T-shaped profile hose in use, and for avoiding a relative movement between fastening element and T-shaped profile hose in a direction parallel to the first surface.
INTEGRATED AMALGAMATION CARRIER
An integrated amalgamation carrier can join parts. The integrated amalgamation carrier includes an amalgamation carrier body elongated along a longitudinal axis. In addition, the integrated amalgamation carrier includes a plurality of fasteners protruding from the amalgamation carrier body. The fasteners are integrated with the amalgamation body to form a one-piece structure.

KITS, ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR SUSPENDING OBJECTS FROM CEILINGS
Arrangements for suspending one or more items from a ceiling. Such arrangements may use a base plate along with prong-bearing insert plates that are attached to the ceiling. At least one item may be connected to a load-bearing connector of the base plate, so that a load that is applied to the base plate as a result of the mass of the item produces a force vector that is at least generally aligned with a normal axis of the base plate.
