An attachment mechanism is configured to maintain connection between a first pet component and a second pet component. The attachment mechanism includes an elongated body, a first stop, and a second stop. The elongated body includes a stem having a stem width. The first stop is disposed adjacent an end of the elongated body and has a first width. The second stop is disposed on the elongated body and is spaced from the first stop. The second stop has a second width. The first width and the second width are larger than the stem width. Each of the first stop and the second stop is configured to limit removal of the second pet component from the first pet component.

Fastening clip device configured to secure a door module to a door frame of a vehicle

A device for securing a first unit to a second unit includes a first component having a body and a head. The body is configured to be inserted in at least one of a first orifice of the first unit and a second orifice of the second unit. The first component includes a retainer at a lower longitudinal end of the body. A second component is configured to couple to the first component. At least one of the first and second components includes at least one cam surface and the other of the first and second components includes at least one follower configured to cooperate with the at least one cam surface, and to transform a rotational movement of the first component into a longitudinal translation movement of the first component in relation to the second component so that the retainer bears on the lower surface of the second unit.

PANEL FASTENER ASSEMBLY
20210079942 · 2021-03-18 ·

An improved panel fastener assembly is provided and includes a panel retainer having a first connector and a sheet retainer having a second connector. One of the connectors includes a neck extending to a head that presents a flat face opposite the neck and a contact surface between the neck and an outer edge. The other connector includes a body and a plurality of resiliently deflectable locking elements that each extend from a side of the body and define a locking surface opposing a surface of the body. The panel retainer and the sheet retainer are connectable via the first and second connectors. A method of fastening together a panel and a sheet is also provided. The method comprises installing the panel retainer on a panel, anchoring the sheet retainer to a sheet, and connecting together the panel and sheet retainers via the first and second connectors.

AUXETIC LOCKING PIN
20210033129 · 2021-02-04 · ·

A method of inserting a pin in a bore of an article may include first providing an article with a bore, the bore having an inside diameter. The method may then include providing a pin having a hollow body, the hollow body having a diameter with a profile with a pattern of voids. The method may then include applying an axial force on an end of the hollow body to cause the diameter of the pin to reduce in size to a point where the diameter of the pin is less than the inside diameter of the article. The method may further include aligning the pin inside of the bore of the article, and then removing the axial force on the end of the hollow body.

LOCKING PUSH PIN
20210033132 · 2021-02-04 ·

A locking push pin and methods of using the locking push pin to assemble a heatsink assembly, are described. The locking push pin includes a body lumen extending through a pin body, and several prongs radially outward from the body lumen. Peripheral surfaces of the prongs are separated by a body slot radially outward from the body lumen. The locking push pin includes a pin lock having a branch that extends through the body lumen and into the body slot between the peripheral surfaces. The pin lock advances from an unlocked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot proximal to a distal end of the prongs, allowing the prongs to deflect radially inward, to a locked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot at the distal end of the prongs, blocking deflection of the prongs. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
