ADD-ON HOUSING
An add-on housing is provided comprising a frame-shaped basic shape which encloses a receiving region for receiving a contact insert or a holding frame fitted with plug-in connector modules, wherein at least two fastening surfaces having fastening openings are integrally formed on the outside of the frame-shaped basic shape, wherein the add-on housing has snap-fastening means or devices which engage through the fastening openings in order to mechanically fasten the add-on housing to a through-hole in a device wall. A method for fastening an add-on housing to a through-hole in a device wall is also provided, wherein: the add-on housing has fastening openings which are in alignment with corresponding fastening openings in the device wall; snap-fastening means or devices having a box-shaped main body and having opposing and resiliently mounted base portions laterally protruding from said main body are inserted into the mutually aligned fastening openings in the add-on housing and the device wall; the base portions, upon insertion into the fastening openings, are first pressed into the box-shaped main body and then extend to engage the device wall.
CONNECTION ASSEMBLY
A connection assembly includes first and second components joinable along an axis of relative movement, starting from a separated disassembled state, into an interconnected assembled state, and transferable back into the disassembled state. The first component has a latching element and the second component has a latching element receptacle which cooperates with latching portions of the latching element in the assembled state. The latching portions are offset relative to each other when viewed in a circumferential direction, and are each movable along a movement path starting from a non-deformed rest state. A first portion of the movement path points in a disassembly direction, and a second portion of the movement path points in an assembly direction opposite the disassembly direction. The first portion of the movement path is limited by a stop against which the latching element rests in a course of disassembling the components.
Grommet removal assemblies and methods
A grommet removal assembly includes a grommet and a grommet removal tool. The grommet includes a body defining a longitudinal axis, a plurality of arms extending from the body, the plurality of arms defining first engagement ramps, and a plurality of legs extending from the body. The grommet removal tool includes a shaft and a plurality of wings extending from the shaft and defining a plurality of second engagement ramps. The first engagement ramps of the wings are capable of engagement with the second engagement ramps along the plurality of arms to draw the arms inward, toward the longitudinal axis of the body.
COUPLING ELEMENT FOR AN ARTICLE OF FURNITURE
A coupling element includes at least one coupling member having a first end and a second end, wherein the coupling member has a flat face on a first side thereof, at least one barb extending in cantilever manner from the flat face and depending away from the first end so as to hinder or prevent the removal of the coupling element from a bore in a surface of a first article into which the coupling member has been inserted from the first end.
APPARATUS FOR FASTENING A VEHICLE COMPONENT IN AND/OR ON A VEHICLE
The apparatus for fastening a vehicle component in and/or on a vehicle has a sound insulation element with a carrier layer and a sound absorbing layer. An anchoring recess is formed in the carrier layer and has an insertion opening in a first side of the carrier layer, which insertion opening is adjoined by a receiving space which is delimited by the plastic material of the carrier layer and is defined by a closed circumferential inner side and a closed bottom surface. An anchoring element is further provided. The anchoring recess has a constriction area formed on the circumferential inner side and at least partially narrowing the receiving space, with a widened widening area adjoining in the direction of the bottom surface. The anchoring element has an anchoring shoulder for engaging behind the constriction area when the anchoring element is received by the anchoring recess.
Blind Assembly Fastener System
Disclosed are systems and methods for coupling a first panel to a second panel via a fastening system. The fastening system comprises fastener, a doghouse structure, and a seal assembly. The fastener includes a head assembly coupled to a collar. The head assembly is configured to engage a doghouse structure positioned on the first panel and the collar is configured to pass through and to retain the second panel via an opening formed in the second panel. The seal assembly includes a seal and a seal carrier. The seal carrier is coupled to the fastener via a frangible connection.
Fastening clip
The present application provides a fastening clip, which comprises a fastening pin and a fastening sleeve. The fastening pin can be inserted into the fastening sleeve, the fastening sleeve comprises a base and two pairs of retaining wings, the two pairs of retaining wings respectively extend downward from a lower surface of the base, and outer sides of at least one of the two pairs of retaining wings have raised ribs extending in a circumferential direction. The fastening clip of the present application can firmly fasten at least two plates.
Screwless shoulder bezel attachment for a vehicle seat
A lever assembly includes a lever housing attached to a seat back of a vehicle seat. The lever assembly includes a bracket attached to the lever housing, and the bracket includes a bracket opening. The lever assembly includes a lever bezel including a bezel opening, the lever bezel is received in the lever housing, and the bezel opening aligns with the bracket opening. The lever assembly includes a lever pivotally mounted to the level bezel and a clip received in the bezel opening and the bracket opening to secure the lever bezel to the lever housing.
Fastener
A fastener for coupling a first component to a mounting hole of a second component. The fastener includes a central body portion, a head portion, provided at the proximal end of the central body portion. The fastener has at least two resilient ribs, protruding radially outward from an outer surface of the central body portion. The fastener includes at least a first pair of diametrically opposed recessed surfaces, provided at the proximal end of the central body and extending axially between the head portion and a respective shoulder portion formed by each one of the first pair of recessed surfaces. The at least two resilient ribs extend along the outer surface of the central body portion in a direction along the central axis between the distal end and the proximal end, and axially past the respective shoulder portion.
