Screw with hole-enlarging portion
A screw includes a head and a shank extending from the head, and a hole-enlarging portion formed on the shank. The hole-enlarging portion features no thread and a substantially triangular transverse section. The hole-enlarging portion includes three inclined edges spaced from one another in the circumferential direction of the shank, and a guiding slope is formed between two adjacent inclined edges. The shank defines a longitudinal axis and is provided with a thread. Each inclined edge extends toward the head in an inclined direction relative to a horizontal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The inclined direction of each inclined edge is identical to a direction in which the thread extends toward the head.
FASTENING ELEMENT
Fastening element (100) for a porous material, in particular for balsa wood, comprising a fastening head (1) configured to receive a torque in both rotational directions around a main axis (10) and a shank (2) that extends from the fastening head (1) and ends in a tip (3) at the end facing away from the fastening head. The shank (2) has an outer thread (4) along at least a section of its extension in a direction of the main axis (10), for screwing the fastening element (100) into the material.
Screw with Tapered Screw-Head, Use of a Screw and a Method for Countersinking the Screw
In order to prevent wood fringes at the edge of a hole from a countersunk screw (1), the screw-head (2) is provided with a tapering underside and inclined milling-ribs (8) on the tapering underside. Each milling-rib (8) has a planar front-side (15) delimited by smoothly curved convex milling-edge (17) for milling the material during countersinking of the screw-head (2).
FAST CHIP REMOVAL REAMING SCREW
The present invention provides a fast chip removal reaming screw, including a screw head, a rod body extending from the screw head and a first thread arranged on the rod body. The rod body includes a rod body portion connected to the screw head, an reaming portion, and a pointed cone portion. The reaming portion includes first reaming blocks, second reaming blocks and third reaming blocks which are disposed in a helically staggered manner, and chip removal paths formed between the first reaming blocks, the second reaming blocks and the third reaming blocks. A first width of the chip removal path located between the first reaming blocks and a second width of the chip removal path located between the second reaming blocks are different, so that wood chips can be fast removed to reduce a stress between the screw and a wood workpiece.
Wood screw structure
A wood screw structure comprises a screw head section, a rod section, a first screw thread and a plurality of crushing rib units. The rod section is sequentially integrally formed from the screw head section and comprises a first rod portion connecting the screw head section, a second rod portion, a third rod portion, and a tapered portion extending and tapering outwardly from the third rod portion. The first screw thread is disposed spirally and is protruded on an outer peripheral surface of the tapered portion, the second rod portion and the third rod portion. The crushing rib units are disposed spirally and protruded around the outer peripheral surface of the third rod portion and the tapered portion, and each of the crushing rib units includes a plurality of crushers protrudingly disposed on a rib body. A first discharge gap is formed between the crushers.
Wood screw
A wood screw is disclosed herein. It comprises a screw head and a rod body integrally extended from the screw head and having a shank part and a screwing part, wherein the screwing part comprises a straight surface surrounded with a threaded section and a cutting section on which a cutting unit is formed, and wherein a root diameter of the shank part is larger than root diameters of the threaded section and the cutting section respectively, and larger than or equal to a maximum outer diameter of the cutting section defined by the cutting unit.
Screw with two set of ribs in a knurled region and use thereof
A screw, especially for wood, has a knurled region (10) with two sets (11A, 11B) of ribs (11) that are offset from each other by an azimuth angle. For example, the two sets of ribs extend towards each other from opposite ends (10A, 10B) of the knurled region (10) and are intertwined only in an overlap region (12) that is at the middle of the knurled region.
BONE ANCHOR
A bone anchor includes a shank with a first end, an opposite second end, and a longitudinal axis. The shank includes a core, a thread that extends in a helix around the core and that has a lower flank directed towards the first end and an upper flank directed towards the second end, wherein the upper flank and the lower flank define a first cross-sectional thread shape, and an additional thread structure including a recess that extends together with part of the thread in the helix around the core. The thread and the additional thread structure together define a second cross-sectional thread shape different from the first cross-sectional thread shape. An axial length of the portion of the thread that has only the first cross-sectional thread shape is greater than an axial length of the entire portion of the thread that includes the second cross-sectional thread shape.
SELF-SEALING ROOF FASTENER
A self-sealing fastener for installation of roofing materials for creating a substantially watertight seal around fastener penetrations where roofing materials or panels are affixed to an underlying roof deck by the fasteners. Also disclosed is a method for installing the self-sealing fastener for attachment of roofing materials to an underlying roof deck with the penetrations areas or holes created by the fasteners being substantially sealed against water penetration.
