Screw structure
A screw structure is disclosed herein. It comprises a head; a rod body integrally extended from the head and having a flat shank part and a tapered tip at a terminal of the flat shank part; a first screw thread disposed on the rod body and having a positioning tooth at a terminal thereof, a plurality of cutting units and a plurality of shaving collection spaces; a plurality of second screw threads disposed on the rod body; and a reamer thread disposed at an upper end of the rod body.
Wood screw
A wood screw that includes a head and a shank is revealed. The shank is formed by a main shank portion and a tapered portion whose diameter is smaller than that of the main shank portion, both provided with a locking thread. A plurality of drilling units, whose outside diameter of the drilling unit is smaller than that of the locking thread, is disposed on the tapered portion. The drilling units first destroy workpiece material corresponding to the main shank portion so that the workpiece material becomes loose and the resistance of the locking thread of the main shank portion is reduced. Thereby the wood screw is screwed into the workpiece more smoothly. Moreover, an internal thread segment whose thread depth matches that of the locking thread of the main shank portion is formed so that the wood screw and the workpiece are fastened more firmly.
Assembly Including a Mounting Portion and an Implement-Retaining Portion
An assembly (100, 200) is disclosed. The assembly (100, 200) includes a mounting portion (112) and an implement-retaining portion (114, 214). The mounting portion (112) includes a body portion (112a) and a substrate-penetrating portion (112b). The body portion (112a) is defined by a substrate-engaging portion (1120 and an implement retainer interface portion (112a.sub.2). The implement-retaining portion (114, 214) is removably-connected to the implement retainer interface portion (112a.sub.2).

An assembly (100, 200) is disclosed. The assembly (100, 200) includes a mounting portion (112) and an implement-retaining portion (114, 214). The mounting portion (112) includes a body portion (112a) and a substrate-penetrating portion (112b). The body portion (112a) is defined by a substrate-engaging portion (112a.sub.1) and an implement retainer interface portion (112a.sub.2). The implement-retaining portion (114, 214) is removably-connected to the implement retainer interface portion (112a.sub.2).
Drive screw
The present disclosure relates to a drive screw for connecting a carrier formed of foamed material to a part to be affixed to the carrier. In one implementation, the drive screw includes a threaded pin with a first end having shaped elements configured to connect to a tool that transfers torque and a second end configured to penetrate into the carrier. In addition, the first end of the threaded pin may be surrounded by and connected to an interlock component, and the part to be affixed may have an interlock receiving space corresponding to the interlock component.
Threaded Fastener
A threaded fastener includes a head, a shank extending from the head, and a. cone portion. The head includes a top portion and an annular side wall extending downwardly from a periphery of the top portion. The cone portion is formed between the shank and the top portion and has a peripheral surface tapering from the top portion to the shank. An annular groove is created between the annular side wall and the cone portion for development of an accommodating space with an opening downward in a bottom of the head. The annular groove is surrounded by an inner surface of the annular side wall, the peripheral surface of the cone portion, and a bottom wall of the top portion connected between the annular side wall and the cone portion.
Screw with Hole-Enlarging Portion
A screw includes a head and a shank extending from the head, and a hole-enlarging portion formed on the shank. The hole-enlarging portion features no thread and a substantially triangular transverse section. The hole-enlarging portion includes three inclined edges spaced from one another in the circumferential direction of the shank, and a guiding slope is formed between two adjacent inclined edges. The shank defines a longitudinal axis and is provided with a thread. Each inclined edge extends toward the head in an inclined direction relative to a horizontal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The inclined direction of each inclined edge is identical to a direction in which the thread extends toward the head.
Screw-type fastener
A screw includes: a head end, a shank and a tapered end, the head end including a tool engaging part, the head end located at one end of the shank and the tapered end located at an opposite end of the shank, wherein a thread is formed along the shank, the thread begins on the tapered end, extends onto the shank and terminates at a set location short of the head end, the thread being a right-hand thread and having a peripheral edge, at least a first helical portion of the peripheral edge includes a plurality of notches and a second helical portion of the thread lacks any notches, wherein the first helical portion is closer to the tapered end than the second helical portion, wherein the head includes an underside formed by a frustoconical part with a plurality of nibs. The head may also include an outer ledge.
Screw
A screw has a screw head and a shank extending downwardly from the screw head. The shank has a threaded segment, a cutting segment, and a tapered segment sequentially arranged downwardly, a thread spirally surrounding an external surface of the shank from the threaded segment to the tapered segment, multiple cutting ribs arranged around the external surface of the shank on the cutting segment of the shank, and multiple chip recesses formed between the cutting ribs. Each of the cutting ribs has a rounded crest to enlarge a drill hole and to reduce a resistance formed between the cutting ribs and the workpiece during drilling. The screw can be easily screwed into the workpiece with less driving force.
Hidden fastener unit and related method of use
A fastener unit and related method for securing a board to a support is provided. The fastener unit includes a spacer block, a grip element extending from the spacer block and configured to fit in and engage a groove of the board, and one or more board engagement elements extending from a portion of the spacer block. The board engagement elements can clamp the board, between an upper and/or lower surface of the board and a groove of the board, thereby securing the spacer block in a position adjacent the groove to establish a gap between the board and another board. Related methods of use also are provided.
