CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE FASTENER
A method of forming a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) fastener, the method comprising: shaping a preform to form a green fastener; applying one or more layers to an outer surface of the green fastener to form a layered green fastener; and finishing the layered green fastener to form the CMC fastener.
MODULAR SCREW AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MODULAR SCREW
A modular screw is provided, wherein the screw includes, in an axial direction, the following elements: a screw head, a shank having a second functional portion, a third functional portion for distributing a prestressing force, wherein a washer is arranged in the second functional portion and is mounted so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the screw, and a fourth functional portion having an external thread, and wherein the washer is secured in an approximately positionally fixed manner in the axial direction by bearing against the second and the fourth functional portion.
Fastening member
A fastening member includes a screw thread formed therein. A portion including a crest portion of the screw thread is formed of a first alloy material and includes: a thick portion where the portion is maximized in thickness in a circumferential direction; and a thin portion where the portion is minimized in thickness in the circumferential direction. A portion including a root of the screw thread is formed of a second alloy material having a tensile strength higher than that of the first alloy material.
COMPLIANT SELF-ANCHORING SCREW WITH AUXETIC PROPERTIES
The present invention provides compliant screws compatible with standard threaded holes that are self-anchoring via auxetic properties. Once a screw has been twisted in place using a mating screw driver, the screw won't be able to be removed unless it is broken, its surrounding material is torn out with the screw, or unless the screw driver itself is again used to twist the screw in the opposite direction. Thus, although reusable, the screw will never come out of its hole in the presence of vibrations or other cyclic or random loading scenarios. The screws are thereby suitable for critical joint applications where screws must never come loose. Non-limiting examples include satellite fasteners, high-speed vehicle bolts, pedicle screws, and other screws used to secure medical implants within a human body.
FASTENING SCREW, ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTOR AND ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTION
The invention relates to a fastening screw, comprising an electrically insulating insulating body and a metal body formed from a metal and having an external thread. The metal body is fastened on the insulating body and has a first axial end and a second axial end opposite the first axial end, wherein the first axial end is remote from a screw head of the fastening screw. It is provided that the insulating body, by means of a shaft portion, emerges from the first axial end of the metal body along the longitudinal axis (L) of the metal body.
FASTENING COMPONENT, ASSEMBLY METHOD AND ASSEMBLY DEVICE
This fastening component, which is intended to assemble a first part and a second part, includes a body extending longitudinally along an axis, a head configured to allow the fastening component to be rotated about the axis, and a tip connected to the body. The body has a side wall including fastening means configured to fasten the body to the first and second parts. The tip has a side wall having a shape different from that of a surface of revolution. The tip and the body are connected by a cleavable area configured to be broken in order to detach the tip from the body.
THREADED TRUSS FOUNDATIONS AND RELATED SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND MACHINES
A machine for rotary driving screw anchors into underlying ground and related. The machine has a mast with a rotary driver and a mandrel driver oriented on a common axis. The mandrel driver passes a mandrel through the rotary driver and the screw anchor to allow the mandrel to be actuated ahead of the screw anchor while the rotary driver drives the screw anchor into the ground. Alternatively, the mandrel driver may also drive a hammering drill through the screw anchor to clear a path ahead of it through subsurface rocks.

SELF-SEALING ROOF FASTENER
A self-sealing fastener for installation of roofing materials for creating a substantially watertight seal around fastener penetrations where roofing materials or panels are affixed to an underlying roof deck by the fasteners. Also disclosed is a method for installing the self-sealing fastener for attachment of roofing materials to an underlying roof deck with the penetrations areas or holes created by the fasteners being substantially sealed against water penetration.
BIMETALLIC SCREW WITH MARTENSITICALLY HARDENABLE STEEL
A method for producing a bimetallic screw with a tip element and a drive element, in which a first blank comprising a steel with 0.07 to 0.14% by weight carbon, 13 to 15% by weight chromium, 1.3 to 1.7% by weight molybdenum, 1.5 to 2.0% by weight nickel and 1.0 to 1.5% by weight manganese is provided and the tip element is made from the first blank. A bimetallic screw with a tip element and a drive element is also provided, the tip element and the drive element having a different material composition, and the tip element comprising at least in some areas a steel with 0.07 to 0.14% by weight carbon, 13 to 15% by weight chromium, 1.3 to 1.7% by weight molybdenum, 1.5 to 2.0% by weight nickel and 1.0 to 1.5% by weight manganese.
