Roof cover fastener
A roof cover fastener may include a cover plate having a planar body with a perimeter. A central aperture may be disposed centrally in the body. A first annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the central aperture. A second annular rib may be formed into the body and may encircle the first annular rib. A first channel may separate the first annular rib from the second annular rib. A medial aperture may be disposed in the channel between the first annular rib and the second annular rib. The fastener may also include an auger element having a first end and a second end. A head may be coupled to the first end, and a tip may be coupled to the second end. A thread crest with a thread root may extend from the second end towards the first end.
Method of stacking overpack salvage drums
An overpack salvage drum including a drum body and a lid. A bottom wall and side wall of the drum body cooperate to define an interior of the drum body. The lid is configured to close an open top of the drum body. The lid includes at least two independent lid threads to engage with corresponding independent drum threads provided on the drum body. The lid includes a plurality of alternating castellations having a flat inner facing side and castellations having an arcuate inner facing side, which can be interdigitated with castellations on another lid when two lids are stacked together, or can be used to lock with a drum body to rotationally secure a drum body relative to the lid when in a stacked arrangement. The lids include lugs and recesses, or rings that allow for secure stacking of the lids.
Swivel hanger system
A swivel hanger system includes an anchor member with an anchor head disposed at an end of the anchor member and an elongated body, where at least a portion of the elongated body is configured to be inserted into a support member when the system is connected with the support member. The system also includes a swivel member with an open end extending to a hollow interior of the swivel member, where the open end is configured to rotatably couple with the anchor head such that the anchor head is located within the hollow interior and the elongated body extends through the swivel member open end. The system further includes a stop structure to limit an insertion distance at which the anchor member is inserted into the support member.
SWIVEL HANGER
A swivel hanger system includes an anchor member with an anchor head disposed at an end of the anchor member and an elongated body, where at least a portion of the elongated body is configured to be inserted into a support member when the system is connected with the support member. The system also includes a swivel member with an open end extending to a hollow interior of the swivel member, where the open end is configured to rotatably couple with the anchor head such that the anchor head is located within the hollow interior and the elongated body extends through the swivel member open end. The system further includes a stop structure to limit an insertion distance at which the anchor member is inserted into the support member.
SPACING FASTENER
A spacing fastener comprises a head and a shaft adjoining the head and ending with a tip. The shaft comprises an anchoring screw thread, an under-head screw thread closest to and ending near the head, and a non-threaded shaft portion therebetween. A support element at a distance circumferentially from the screw-thread end of under-head screw thread forms contact point (Au) therewith. In the region overlapping with under-head screw thread in top view, the support element is spaced apart therefrom and forms a contact point (As) for an outer shell lying between the head and under-head screw thread. The distance of contact point (As) from the head is greater than or equal to difference between the distance of contact point (Au) from the head and a tolerance distance of at most 15% of the major diameter of the under-head screw thread. The support element extends lengthwise over less than 150?.
SELF-DRILLING SELF-TAPPING FASTENER
A self-drilling self-tapping fastener that provides improved performance in both drilling time and pullout force without decreasing performance in any of ductility, tapping torque, torsional strength, and tension strength.
Structural screw
A structural screw usable in multiple different substrates/materials includes a head end, a shank and a tapered end, the head end including a tool engaging part, the head end located at a first end of the shank and the tapered end located at a second end of the shank. A thread is formed along the shank, wherein the thread begins on the tapered end, extends onto the shank and terminates at a first axial location along the shank that is spaced from the head end. The thread (i) is a multiple start thread formed by at least a first helical thread and a second helical thread and/or (ii) includes a thread angle of between fifteen degrees and thirty degrees. The screw may also include a reaming section with leading and trailing wedge sections and/or an asymmetric notch pattern along at least part of the thread edge.
CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT, VEHICLE SEAT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT, AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO COMPONENTS
A connection arrangement, that connects a first component (2) to a second component (3), includes a screw (1) with a screw head (10) and a threaded shaft (11) which has an exterior thread (12). The first component includes a mating connection piece (20), which has a support surface (21) and a collar (23). A depression (22) encircles the collar (23) and is formed in the support surface (21). A protrusion (14) is arranged on a screw head lower face (13), facing the collar (23). The protrusion is operatively connected to the depression (22) in the support surface (21) of the mating connection piece (20) in an assembled state of the screw (1), with the interposition of the second component.
