Pin with breakneck groove, fastener comprising such a pin, related assembly and installation method
This invention relates to a pin comprising a head (22) and a threaded portion, an end of the head forming an end surface (32) on a first plane perpendicular to the main axis. The pin further comprises a handling component (30) which is an integral part of the head, a junction (50) between that head and the handling component comprising a breakneck groove (52) with a rotational shape. A section of the breakneck groove has an arc of circle portion (60), a center (68) of that circle primarily in the first plane, so that a plane containing the breakneck groove (52) surface clearly coincides with the first plane.
Sealing bolt and method of installing a sealing bolt
A sealing bolt includes a seal head adapted to be mounted to the container lid, a seal stud adapted to be mounted to the container body, a pin connecting the seal head to the seal stud, a conductor in a transverse passage in the pin and a resilient member arranged for biasing the pin into a first position in which the conductor is compressed. The pin is movable against biasing by the resilient member into a second position by application to the seal head of a predetermined torque. The sealing bolt also includes a monitoring and detection unit including a transmitter and a detector coupled to respective ends of the conductor, and a processor coupled to the transmitter and the detector operable to determine that the pin has been moved into the second position for a first time when a signal detected by the detector has undergone a predetermined change.
Drive train with thermal overload safeguard
A drive train includes a drive element, an output element and a thermal overload safeguard. The thermal overload safeguard is configured in such a way that there is a connection between the drive element and the output element below a critical temperature, and the drive element and the output element are decoupled mechanically from one another above the critical temperature.
Range Taking Shear Bolts and Drive Tools
Range taking shear bolts and bolt installation (drive) tools are described herein, which are configured for use with a variety of range taking connectors and conductors.
FASTENERS
A bolt including a torque section configured to self-release from a fastening tool upon reaching a threshold torque.
Rebar anchoring system and method
A rebar anchoring system and method are provided. The system includes: a rebar, with an external thread formed on the periphery of at least one end; an anchoring head, with a first perforation and a second perforation disposed respectively at both ends extending axially into the anchoring head and communicating with each other, the inner sides of the first and second perforations being formed respectively with a first internal thread matching with the external thread of the rebar and a second internal thread, and the anchoring head being mounted on the end of the rebar through the first internal thread and the external thread of the rebar; and a bolt, having a screw rod matching with the second internal thread, the screw rod being locked into the second perforation of the anchoring head, and the end of the screw rod pressing against the end of the rebar.
Torque limiting device having holding claws
A device for torque limiting, which includes a nut and a holding element including a top part having an entrainment profile in a rear area for the rotatably fixed coupling of the top part with a setting tool. A receiving part has a receptacle in a front area of the holding element, in which the nut is rotatably fixedly accommodated. A device for torque transmission from the top part to the receiving part connects the top part and the receiving part and breaks at a limiting torque, interrupting the connection between the top part and the receiving part. The holding element includes at least one holding claw situated on the receiving part and securing the nut in the receptacle on the front side of the nut. A fastening arrangement made up of an expansion anchor and a device of this type for torque limiting as well as a method for manufacturing a device of this type.
Torque limitation device having three webs
A device for torque limiting is provided, including a holding element for a nut or a screw head, the holding element including a top part having an entrainment profile in a rear area of the holding element for the rotatably fixed coupling of the top part with a setting tool, and the holding element including a receiving part having a receptacle in a front area of the holding element for rotatably fixedly accommodating the nut or the screw head. According to the invention, the holding element includes three torque-transmitting webs, which connect the receiving part and the top part and which form a predetermined breaking point. The invention also relates to a fastening arrangement made up of a device of this type and an expansion anchor.
TORSION SHEAR BOLT FOR ELECTRIC JUNCTIONS
A shear bolt for a junction of electrical conductors includes a tool seat for engagement of the shear bolt by a screwing tool, an externally threaded portion to be screwed in a terminal body of the junction, along a screwing axis, and a tightening portion for engaging an electrical conductor to be tightened in the terminal body. The tool seat is formed at the threaded portion and the tightening portion is connected to the threaded portion on an opposite side with respect to the tool seat. The shear bolt can be sheared in one or more programmed rupture areas in the threaded portion when exceeding a predetermined tightening torque for each of the programmed rupture areas, respectively. Even with the screw unscrewed, the tightening portion is connected to the threaded portion and is rotatable with respect to the threaded portion about the screwing axis and non-detachable from the threaded portion.
Tooling assembly and method for installation of a frangible fastener
A tooling assembly for fastener installation has a socket body reversibly rotatable by a driving mechanism. A bore in the socket body has a first end portion and a central portion incorporating threads. A second end portion of the bore receives and engages a severable section of a frangible fastener. A pin is received in the bore and constrained from rotation by the driving mechanism. The pin has an ejection shaft with mating threads selectively receivable in the threads of the central portion of the bore. The socket body is freely rotatable with the mating threads positioned in the first end portion of the bore. Rotation of the socket body in torques the frangible fastener on a stud fracturing the severable section. Reverse rotation of the socket body engages the mating threads in the threads translating the pin. The ejection shaft ejects the severable section from the second end portion.
