MULTI-PART SOCKET-LIKE CEMENT-IN RETAINER
A multipart socket-like glue-in retainer which is fastenable in a component opening in an adhesive manner in a component opening and which is configured in at least two parts and thus in an opening manner in radial direction due to an axial separation, so that only before a gluing-in of the glue-in retainer in a component opening, a functional insert is arrangeable in the glue-in retainer and after the gluing-in of the glue-in retainer in the component opening, the functional insert is retained inseparably in the glue-in retainer.
Retaining device for a threaded member, in particular for a nut
A nut is prevented from turning during screwing by a body attached to one of the parts to be tightened by rivets. The body prevents the nut from rotating via a ring coupled without clearance with the nut and coupled with radial clearance to the body, in order to allow the nut to self-position itself along the axis imposed on the screw by the bores traversed by the screw. The nut can thus be a standard nut or a floating cage nut. Application to the retaining of nuts that are inaccessible and/or require a high level of security against unintentional unscrewing.
Nut restrainer, centering tool, and methods of use
In accordance with one or more embodiments of the invention, nut restrainers, centering tools, and methods of use are presented, particularly as applied to high strength bolted connections. Nut restrainers may have an interior profile including a circular profile section and a regular hexagonal profile section, a nut inserted into the nut restrainer may have lateral freedom of movement, and the nut restrainer may have a top plane with one or more centering protrusions. A centering tool for positioning a nut restrainer may have a non-circular head section, a cylindrical positioning section, a threaded section, and a cylindrical restrainer positioning section; a method of positioning a nut restrainer coaxial with a bolt hole using the centering tool.
Nut integrated with bracket and method of manufacturing the same
A method of manufacturing a nut integrated with a bracket forms the nut formed integrally with the bracket or a slab base nut by using a plate material supplied between a punch and a die. The slab base nut includes a base plate and a boss extending from the base plate and including female-threads. The base plate and the boss are integrated into a single piece without welding trace.
Mounting pedestals
A pedestal for mounting an accessory onto a vehicle surface has a hollow core body with an oblong first slot at a top end for receiving a fastener therethrough and an oblong second slot within for holding a nut and engaging the fastener. The fastener and nut are linearly adjustable in a first direction along the slots for ease of aligning the accessory's mounting hole with the pedestal and fastener, so as to secure the accessory to the pedestal's top end with the fastener. The body may also have wider oblong slots and additional side body slits for fitting an elongate bar nut, to provide greater adjustability in a second direction within the pedestal for enhanced two dimensional alignment of the accessory with the pedestal and fastener. A skirt and adhesive pad at the bottom end of the body securely bond the pedestal, and hence the accessory, to the vehicle surface.
Nut restrainer, centering tool, and methods of use
In accordance with one or more embodiments of the invention, nut restrainers, centering tools, and methods of use are presented, particularly as applied to high strength bolted connections. Nut restrainers may have an interior profile including a circular profile section and a regular hexagonal profile section, a nut inserted into the nut restrainer may have lateral freedom of movement, and the nut restrainer may have a top plane with one or more centering protrusions. Clam Shell Insert Utility
A honeycomb sandwich panel insert comprising a housing defined by two identical halves which when joined together form a distal flange having opposed potting holes, and a central internal bore, integrally formed laterally extending member when joined forms a tight closed distal end of said bore, a nut disposed within the internal bore of the housing and configured to float therein.
SLEEVED LUG NUT APPARATUS AND INSTALLATION TOOL
The present invention provides an improved lug nut protection system that includes a keyed lug nut and a specialty tool for installation and removal. According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a protective sleeve which slides over the wheel end of a given lug nut, and which is held in place by a retaining ring or the like. According to a further preferred embodiment, the protective sleeve preferably freely rotates and prevents common tools (i.e., pipe wrenches) from removing the lug nut thus preventing theft of the wheel/tire. According to a further preferred embodiment, the lug nut of the present invention is preferably recessed within the protective sleeve and preferably includes a keyed head which requires a specialty tool to remove the lug nut. Preferably, the specialty tool of the present invention fits inside the sleeve and over the top of the custom lug nut design.
Attachment device
An attachment element for assembly on a tubular element including an upper assembly sheet metal which includes in its outer end a transversal, upward directed mounting flange in relation to the assembly sheet metal which includes a cut out geometry, a lower sheet metal, a spacer element which link the upper assembly sheet metal together with the lower sheet metal in its interior ends and the spacer element includes attachment devices provided on both sides of an abutting section of the tubular element. The spacer element includes a wavelike geometry design which form the abutting section and the attachment devices. A galvanized barrel nut barrel nut including a barrel with a first and second interior diameter is also disclosed.
FASTENING DEVICE AND HEAT DISSIPATION MODULE WITH THE SAME
A fastening device includes a fixing nut and a fixing base. The fixing base includes a base plate, an anti-falling wall, a door piece, and an anti-tilt arm. The anti-falling wall, the door piece and the anti-tilt arm are formed on the base plate, and the anti-tilt arm is arranged opposite to the door piece. An accommodation space is formed between the anti-falling wall, the door piece and the anti-tilt arm, and the fixing nut is rotatably arranged in the accommodation space. In addition, a heat dissipation module with the fastening device is also disclosed herein.
